have not noticed any problems yet. Could you please say what you mean by
overview and the one picture view and I will try to reproduce the
freeze.

There is something wrong when pictures are imported
It happens to me too. After killing and restarting it seems to be OK
(import succeeded). This is an old version of F-spot, so I thought
it's probably changed in newer versions.
