If it is the same problem I had a few weeks ago on debian, then I know a solution for it without removing the patch. Try this: The directory which is chosen in the Import from Camera dialog must be exactly the same as the one in the F-Spot Preferences. When the directory in the Import dialog differs from the Preferences, then the files are copied to exactly this location (without month/day subdirectories). ~ Fabian ___ F-spot-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/f-spot-list

y, build from sources. in case you choose to install 0.6.x, do a backup of your db first. if the problem is still present in 0.6.1.1, file a bug, and make me write a lengthy apology letter. s On Tue, 2009-09-08 at 08:37 +0200, Peter Hadamovsky wrote: > Hi Stephane, > > Can I get rid of the patch? > > regards > > Peter > > Stephane Delcroix wrote: > > Hey, > > > > If it's while importing from Camera, I think it is (without blaming > > anyone) due to a patch ubuntu pushed in its package. > > > > s > > > > On Tue, 2009-09-08 at 08:21 +0200, Peter Hadamovsky wrote: > > > >> Hi f-spot gurus, > >> > >> I am running ubuntu 8.10 amd 64 bit version on my laptop. > >> > >> f-spot 0.5.0.3 > >> > >> After importing pictures/photos to f-spot I used to have a directory > >> tree in the form > >> /MM/DD > >> i.e. 2008/09/25 > >> > >> f-spot did sort them according to the date into the propper folder. > >> > >> Now it stores everything in ~/Photos/2009 flat, no structure at all. > >> > >> How do I get the structure back? > >> > >> > >> Thanks a lot > >> ___ > >> F-spot-list mailing list > >> [email protected] > >> http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/f-spot-list > >> > > > > > ___ F-spot-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/f-spot-list
