Photos from the WA coast and of the dog and of my camps. Picked up 5 bags of garbage along the Ocean City/Ocean Shores beach - mostly foam (tsunami) and plastic bottles. Found a souvenir - plastic bottle of toilet bowl cleanser from Japan. Then the tide and wind came up and washed most of the garbage away temporarily. 2nd location was Grayland - miles of nobody and snowy plover nesting area posted as off limits. Ranger said next year expect the campground to be inundated with garbage and possibly closed. 3rd location was Twin Harbors - there were a number of surfers, despite the minimal waves. Looking at them, I'd say they were learning :) but more power to them, of course, in their wetsuits. Visited Cape Disappointment - Benson Beach. Surf was better - lots of herons were fishing in groups of 4-6 low over the waves. No one was on the beach the day I was there, which was great.
Raunchy, I'm headed to your Jamaica video shortly. Little warmer, I expect :) Happy 4th of July. http://www.flickr.com/photos/71633812@N08/sets/72157630427221898/
