"Bewildered by pairs of opposites arising from desire and aversion, O Bharat, all beings are born deeply deluded, O Scorcher of the Enemy." Commentary: "People do not realize their absolute divine nature only because they are always overtaken by the dualities of life, arising from the various desires that always keep the mind engaged in the experience of the gross creation. Right from birth, remaining all the time in the experience of the gross means remaining all the time veiled in ignorance. But this does not in any way mean that all people have to remain in this ignorance. A simple way to get out of the field of ignorance has already been mentioned in Verse 45 of Chapter 2."
