A nice picture - we are warm enough, but SO dry, actually entering a severe
drought. The Sierra snow-pack normally measures around 48 feet. This year, it
is *nine*. As I speak I can hear the merest sprinkles of rain on the roof -
hope we get a lot more.

feel. On the other hand, the wind is a real factor, ala wind chill. But
