"Last week, Maharishi said that students at his Vedic universities will have
the ability to achieve anything through the power of thought. Maharishi said
the world has no need to see this as miracles, but said that these miracles
will in fact become normal, daily occurrences when people are using their full
potential. Maharishi talked about the science of Dhanur Veda and said, “You
close your eyes and do something mentally, and you produce some effect on a
tree, a crop, or waves on a river.” Since I’ve been a child, I’ve read about
miracles in the Bible and other miraculous accounts of saints throughout
history. And I’ve accepted the reality of their existence largely as a matter
of faith. But I have never heard a clear explanation of how they could happen.
Would Maharishi please explain again the mechanics by which a person could
close his eyes and do something mentally that could change the course of the
winds or tides or whatever?"
