Initially, I didn't like that much Shrii Shankara Bhagavatpaadaacaarya's Sanskrit, perhaps somewhat affected by His possible Dravidian native language??
Now, that I've read a couple of verses of viveka-cuuDaa-maNi, I must say that Shankara's Sanskrit is actually nothing short of superb! OTOH, the English translation by John Richards makes it rather easy to grasp...
