Picnic on Saturday, February 25th at 1:00 pm
 
Everyone is warmly invited to a pot-luck picnic on the 522 acres that the Global Country of World Peace has recently acquired in East County.  We will have a flag-raising, group meditation and lots of fun!
 
We will meet at 1:00 pm at the grove of trees where we can park.  (Please see directions below.)
 
We will discuss as a group each of our desires for the best use of this land...... Please bring something to eat and share ..... also comfy cushion and blanket or beach chair for meditation.
 
Please call the Center (858)490-2704 to arrange car pooling as parking space is limited.

Directions to 522 Acres

  

Take Interstate 8 to Crestwood Road Exit, towards Live Oak Springs.

 

Turn right on Old Hwy 80, towards Golden Acorn Casino.

 

Drive past casino on Old Hwy 80, to Live Oak Springs.

 

Turn left at gas station/convenience store, at Live Oak Trail.

 

Drive through Live Oak Springs on Live Oak Trail, which becomes BIA 14.

 

Follow this road under Interstate 8. 

 

Stay on this road, heading north, until you see sign on the right for Manzanita Horse Camp.

 

Make a right onto dirt road, drive about ¼ mile to ½ mile until you come to a grove of trees on the right where you can park.

 

 

Note:

 

The first 300- to 400-yards of the dirt road crosses Indian property, so be respectful.

Once you are past the cattle guard, you are on our property
