Very interesting Card. Tai Chi classes are taught at my gym and I've been
thinking of taking them. They're free! A good friend on my TTC , Ricky
Wieberg, practiced it and I always thought it was a good blend of the
Karate I practiced as a kid and the asanas I liked before my spine fused. It
looks very relaxing and is also supposed to develop good balance.

I used to walk from around Pope Street, S.F. to the Financial District for a
year and a half. During the Winter it was of course dark. As I passed
through China Town there seemed to be thousands of gigantic praying mantises
moving in the dark. It was a bit frightening. When I got closer I saw that
theses were ancient Chinese people doing Tai Chi. On the way back from the
Financial District, after flying in the China Basin and dinner at Original
Joe's or some 4 star restaurant downtown, I walked back. By this time all
of the shops were closed. The ancients were doing very honorable dumpster
diving. The shop keepers placed the produce they could not sell very
neatly, neatly crated, in the dumpsters. The ancients took the crates out
of the dumpsters, opened them on the ground and took what they needed. When
done with a crate they carefully closed it and put it back in the dumpster.
