You know what.  I don't think it is much of a start.
How 'bout targeting the Imans who preach violent means to achieve the aims of
Islam as they see it.
Either drive them out of town, or, preferably, put a bullet in their head.
This kumbaya coming out for "peace and unity" falls short in my opinion.

The fact that the Muslim population seems largely silent on the issue, if that
is indeed the case, indicates that they, for whatever reason, are choosing to
not speak out.
Of course, it  has been said, that in the US, the Muslim population is more
integrated into the overall community, whereas in France they are more
segregated, and considered second class citizens.
I will say that in my city, there appears to be a pretty good amount of
integration of the Muslim population.
I will say also, that in my city the black community has been very vocal about
condemning black on black violence, in addition to black on white violence, and
real and perceived indiscriminate violence against blacks by police
I don't think anyone doubts that the majority of Muslims wish to get along with
a more normal life, but unless they find a way to make their voice known, the
situation will likely continue to deteriorate.
And if those who fear Muslims, in general, continue to make their voice heard
in the form of violence and censure then the deterioration will also continue.
But I think, if you and Feste take a look, you can find plenty of evidence,
online, of how many, many Muslims feel about the extremism.

Yes, but skating a line in some way the David Lynch Foundation in setting up
quiet time meditation within public schools has bridged our secular divide of
'separation' by using a syncretism in rendering 'meditation' as quiet time down
to science. In our USA courts SCI was adjudicated to be a religion but not
necessarily the practice of TM meditation itself. DLF has successfully
entered meditation in to public schools by separating, staying clear of, where
the religion is in TM.

DLF could be detailed to figure out how to have middle east immigrants doing
quiet time meditation as help with the PTSD of the war driven relocation that
is going on. There is a place for refugees learning an effective transcending
meditating in the cultural dis- and re-location they are undergoing.

syn·cre·tism the amalgamation or attempted amalgamation of different
religions, cultures, or schools of thought.

Friends, the conservative and praticed meditator in me who has seen credible
science research on the practical value of meditation and the taking quiet time
for meditation I would suggest a subsidy in rents for immigrants as they should
learn effective quiet time meditation and also towards getting them
self-sufficient furnish them meal tickets for attending group secular
meditations.

It is quite time to have science drive public policy on things like with this
socialization of war refugees in to these other more modern cultures. It is
time to have immigrants learn an effective transcending meditation or at least
one of those mindfulness techniques out there that have some science research
standing behind that practice available to the migrants. It is time to let
science drive our public policies on spiritual things like this.

2015-11-17 Thread dhamiltony...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Friends, the conservative and practiced meditator in me who has seen credible
science research on the practical value of meditation and the taking of quiet
time for meditation I would suggest a subsidy in rents for immigrants as they
should learn effective quiet time meditation and also towards getting them
self-sufficient furnish them meal tickets for attending group secular
meditations.

It is quite time to have science drive public policy on things like with this
socialization of war refugees in to these other more modern cultures. It is
time to have immigrants learn an effective transcending meditation or at least
one of those mindfulness techniques out there that have some science research
standing behind them as practices available to the migrants. It is time to let
science drive our public policies on spiritual/humanitarian things like this.

Belief? Ours is no religion. This is not a religious war but a fight over the
human spirit! No, our battle line is on the spiritual practice front of
transcending deep meditation. We know the science and we know our experience.
We don't need no beliefs. This is not about religion but spiritual practice. We
are up and off to join in the group meditation! The doors open to the group
meditation at 7 am and 5pm again. The science and our experience show us that
all we need are a few good meditators.

[FairfieldLife] Big Pharma launches war on supplements

2015-11-17 Thread Bhairitu noozg...@sbcglobal.net [FairfieldLife]
Fascism in action: big pharma gets the DoJ to go after supplement
manufacturers. Now you may say this is about excessive claims but
they've been trying for decades to steal the supplement market all to
them selves with pull-the-ladder-up regulations and laws. They want you
to use their Brave New World drugs instead. The ones with pages of
warnings.

To be clear I've spoken with supplement manufacturers who would like
some regulation. They want it for assurance that the materials they are
getting for their products are genuine. What they don't want is
regulations that can only be followed by the large pharmaceutical
companies who can only afford the testing. Those are called "pull the
ladder up" laws.

Long before Swami Vivkananda, Yogananda and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi came along to
the West came others as teaching transcendentalists, preceding them in a
sequence. In Europe there was a long lineage of the equivalent in European
transcendentalist spiritual satsanga and ashram-like spiritual practice
communities coming out of what was then called Quietism in spiritual practice.

An earlier post on FairfieldLife copied in the European lineage. In the
historical stories a lot of those groups came in settlement to America fleeing
persecution of the formal beliefs of religious ideologies. Transcendentalism as
a spiritual teaching and practice is a common story in the settlement of
America. It could seem that transcendentalism as it has come along is very
American. See FFL post# 385441
