I didn't totally follow this (below) but whoever's writing is in blue
(is that you Kirk/Llundrub?), I commend you for your writing.

 Subject: [FairfieldLife] Maharishi's Methodology.

Two points consitently overlooked by some FFl members. Please answer
your opinion in short upon the following:

How about next time you preface an argument you actually stick
to your own self imposed rules, for instance offering us the two
choices you outlined before just diverging and getting to the point?
What did you study at MIU? I'll bet it wasn't one of the arts because
your interlocutions show no skill. And art is about communication.

 1. Is Maharishi's method that this Kali Yug is not what he is
working for?.hence the Kings and Peace palaces and such like.

--This doesn't make sense. I also don't feel it's my
responsibility to put words in your mouth that you are unable to
utter. Now if you were a Down Syndrome case or my child maybe I would
point to the item in the case on your behalf so you could eat.

He is saying : In full-on Sat Yug, Kings will be enlightened and do
only good for their people, and all people will be Brahmanie
 Cosmic Admistrators (ie. Kings).

--Is this a question or continuation of the initial thrust of
the Methodology question, a statement, or what?

This is the whole point. He is not working for our Kali Yug
thinking, or our current social systems/politics. He is working for
Sat Yug no matter what. Even if it doesn't work at first, he
believes that eventually it will have an effect...even a residual
one 300 years from now that will grow. And if it doesn't work at
all, he believes nothing else is worth doing.

 This is his perception.

-You take a lot for granted. I always felt the Sat Yuga thing
was an add-on to the initial strategem of Dawning Age of
Enlightenment which back when I went to MIU was considered perhaps,
A Window onto Sat Yuga. And it was understood then, as it is now, in
terms of Jyotish conceptions of cosmic cycles that Sat Yuga is still
425,000 years away.

(I am not saying I believe his methodolgy will work, or will not
work, but I think this is his stated methodology.)

-I think you're wrong. I think Maharishi, as he has stated from
day one, felt the need to bring the meditation back into the religion,
and as such he wanted to keep the purity of the teaching. Therefore
the Rajas are a superlative authority which he feels may satisfy the
need for the royal bull seal on any future trends of TMO. It's about
the purity of the teaching and not about establishing Sat Yuga at
all, which patently, by the self-same authority, the Vedic traditions,
is nowhere near in sight.

 2. It seems to me that the only way to judge Maharhishi is by the
meditation and siddhi techniques themselves, wether you have met
him or not. And he has consistently tried to tell people this for 50
years. It is not me that counts, it is the experience. He said it
 MANY MANY times.

-You can say he said it in bold fifteen thousand times but I
dare you to provide an exact quote from a verifiable source. You can
summarize his teachings in whatsoever way you wish, but if you put
words into his mouth then you're as culpable of mistreating his
message as most of the people you despise.

I still hearken back to the days not so long ago when you said you
weren't a part of the Movement and nor did you think in any
Movement-like ways. but since today, as you stated, you are an MIU,
and MUM grad, yet you still spew mealy mouthed TMO mythology without
even any credence given to exactitude, so to me you're the worst of
traitiorious Movement inspired mushbrained lack luster drivel drooler
I could imagine. Without a saving grace as your college education
shows not a whit.

You are a single superior reason for dissolving the Movement yesterday.

So is he DELIBERATELY nonchalent about people's opinions of what he
does, and is even trying to FORCE people to act upon the EXPERIENCE,
and not focus on the guru? It is the experience that will create
 enlightenment.

-This coffin nails this entire post of consciousness-stream nose
blowing. Finally a handkerchief of plot. I am in tears at the death
of reason.

didn't Islamicists already took responsibility for that?
If they don't give [EMAIL PROTECTED] regarding murdering innocents,
why would they care spreading lies.

A few years ago I had a friend in SF log onto a webcam that was near
Times Square at a certain time, I appeared, in nyc, at the webcam at
the designated time, and we chatted via cellphones while he got to see
me in nyc. fun fun fun

 That's way cool.

About four years ago, I used to run a very popular webcam back when I
had an office in the Atrium Building. I pointed my webcam out the
window, and put the mic up next to a radio that had been modified to
pick up FM subcarriers. Viewers could then watch live video of all
the roos going for coffee with a Ghandarva soundtrack. Word got out
about my cam, and the web log showed viewers from around the country
and around the world. Here's a still shot of what it looked like:

[FairfieldLife] Re: Sat Yuga

2005-07-21 Thread anonymousff
At MIU in FF, somewhere in the mid-80s, Maharishi told us that Heaven
was now descending on Earth and we could sit in our kitchen looking
out the window and watch it as it descended.
A friend of mine did exactly that. He stopped working and has
steadfastly refused to work since. He sat inside and watched for
Heaven's descent out his window and is now somewhere on the eastern
seaboard doing the same. Perhaps you and he can get together!
