We are upon 9 days now to the US election. It is certainly time with all that

embargo on mundane political bickering that has become exclusive of any
spiritual commentary. This is expected of us as a topical (spiritual)

bickering on the internet.

Notice and Fair Warning: Until the election day in the USA passes a heavy hand

FFL as an embargo.

There are any number of capable writers posting to FFL. Those who have
spiritual observation to offer can easily continue to offer their

Doug, you do realize that if you follow through with this you will be talking
to yourself soon. There are not dozens of people waiting with spiritual
messages to start posting as soon as us rabble move over to FFL-2 after you
kick us out. Surely, if there are those saints out there with so much
enlightened content to enrich FFL with they could have made their presence

[FairfieldLife] Bill Maher

2016-10-29 Thread awoelfleba...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Perfect. I love this guy.

So, during Friday’s edition of HBO’s Real Time, host Bill Maher
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/07/14/bill-maher-uncut-roger-ailes-absolutely-looks-like-a-pig-to-me.html
gave his unique take on the latest development in Hillary’s Emailgate.

“I think it is rather appropriate that this election is so close to Halloween,
because what happens in every scary movie? You think you killed the monster—you
killed him ten times—and then a tiny, orange hand comes out of the grave.
Believe me: for Hillary, tonight was Nightmare on Email Street,” he quipped
during his monologue.

Maher then gave some background on how the hell Anthony Weiner (alias: Carlos
Danger), a frequent panelist on his Real Time program, could be playing such a
consequential role in this election.

“Anthony Weiner is under investigation for sexting with a underage girl across
state lines, so the FBI seized all his computers. He is married—or was
married—to Huma Abedin, who is Hillary Clinton’s aide, and they were using the
same computer,” said Maher. “Which begs my first question: Why is Huma using
Anthony’s computer? If there’s one thing she didn’t want to go near, it would
be his computer. So… Hillary’s emails are intermingled with Anthony Weiner’s
sexting? No wonder she had her server wiped! I’d have had it boiled.”

He continued: “This is the world we live in now: Hillary Clinton’s aide’s
estranged husband is a freak, so we get to read Hillary Clinton’s emails. I
wish Hillary would send a text to Donald Trump. Maybe then we would get to see
his taxes.”

and his demented crowd were in a lather yelling "Lock her up" in a kind of
rabid frenzy. But I think this is, as they say, a nothing burger. We'll all
see. The FBI are just covering their asses so they are not accused of
non-transparency in case there is actually something implicating Hillary in
Small Weiner's emails.

You are correct. But this is really perfect for me because I have been

Remember both Trump and Sanders are on the same page regarding trade

Trump is an ignoramus; Sanders is an unrealistic dreamer. Clinton is a wonk

[FairfieldLife] Stephen Colbert

2016-10-20 Thread awoelfleba...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Last night, after the debate:

Slams Trump’s refusal to say he’d accept election results.
Once again, Stephen Colbert hosted a live edition of The Late Show on CBS
http://fortune.com/fortune500/cbs-203/ last night in order to get the first
crack at cracking jokes about the final presidential debate.
“We just witnessed the third and final presidential debate, because two is not
enough and I think four would make us go cannibal,” Colbert said to kick off
his opening monologue.
Following Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s last debate face-off, Colbert hit
the air with instant reactions and analysis to some of the biggest moments of
the evening. That certainly included Trump’s refusal
http://fortune.com/2016/10/19/donald-trump-debate-election-results-video/ to
promise that he will accept the results of the election on Nov. 8, no matter
who wins. “I will keep you in suspense,” Trump told the debate moderator, Fox
News’ Chris Wallace
http://fortune.com/2016/10/19/presidential-debate-chris-wallace/.

“Oh, Suspense!” Colbert cried in mock excitement. “Democracy is going to end
with a cliffhanger! I guess we’re all going to have to wait until November 9 to
see if we still have a democracy, to see if Donald Trump is in the moodfor a
peaceful transfer of power, or if he’s going to wipe his fat ass with the
Constitution.”

Colbert mocked Trump’s innuendo that the elections might be “rigged,” noting
Trump also claimed the Emmys are rigged
http://time.com/4537809/donald-trump-emmy-awards-debate/ in 2012

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/504250209262919680?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw.
(The Television Academy has denied that.) Holding his two Emmys, Colbert said,
“You know, Donald, you really should get one. They’re fantastic… I think this
year he might get one. If Trump lost to The Amazing Race, this year, it could
go to the amazing racist.”

That does NOT make everything OK with this stunt by any means, but it's not
quite as bad as it sounds from the Time article.

Thanks for that clarification because this actually gave me some real pause
and anxiety. Antics like what Time reported are cause for great concern but
perhaps it is not quite as terrible as it initially sounded.

Indiana’s Republican governor, Mike Pence—Trump’s running mate—has sent state
troopers
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/10/15/group-accuses-mike-pence-of-voter-suppression-after-state-police-raid-registration-program-in-indiana/
into more than half of the state’s counties to conduct “investigations” into
potential voter fraud.
In one county alone, state troopers seized application papers
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/10/15/group-accuses-mike-pence-of-voter-suppression-after-state-police-raid-registration-program-in-indiana/
for more than 45,000 newly registered black voters—effectively keeping
http://www.patriotmajority.org/news_and_events/2016-10-pences-state-police-trying-to-rig-2016-elections
them from voting in what is likely to be close presidential and Senate
contests in the state. Multiply that sort of seizure of newly registered voter
papers in 50-plus counties in Indiana by state troopers conducting
investigations, and it’s likely more than enough to make a difference in a
close contest.
Pence officials have said that the state police investigations are legitimate
and that they believe instances of voter fraud will be found. But this looks
mostly like voter suppression, conducted under the guise of an investigation of
voter “fraud” (which, again, is essentially nonexistent in America). It’s more
likely it has one simple, direct goal in mind: to disenfranchise voters. In
this case, the goal would seem to be to keep newly registered black voters from
supporting either Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton or Senate
Democratic candidate Evan Bayh.
Pence actively supports these efforts. In a video of one of his campaign
events
http://www.mediaite.com/online/pence-tells-rallygoer-dont-say-that-in-response-to-cry-for-revolution/,
for instance, an audience member said: “One of the things that a lot of us are
scared of is this voter fraud. I’m ready for a revolution, because we can’t
have her in (office).” Pence responded, “Don’t say that,” and started backing
away from her. But once he was beside the podium, Pence touted the state
trooper voter fraud investigations in dozens of Indiana counties. “There’s a
revolution coming on November 8th, I promise you,” Pence said. “I’ll tell you,
in the state of Indiana right now, we’ve got a pretty vigorous investigation
into voter fraud going on.”

Compared to voter fraud, voter intimidation, is a much more insidious (and
potentially dangerous) method of trying to win by keeping the other side from
even showing up at polls. This is the tactic that Trump and his
super-surrogate, Rudy Giuliani, have begun to deploy in recent days by actively
encouraging their supporters to go to polling places in the suburbs and urban
areas to “monitor
http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/16/politics/rudy-giuliani-rigged-elections-donald-trump/index.html”
 activities.

We are upon 3 weeks now to the US election. It is certainly time with all that
is spiritual going on otherwise to reel this place back in some and put an
embargo on mundane political bickering that has become exclusive of any
spiritual commentary. This is expected of us as a topical (spiritual)
Yahoo-group and certainly there are lots of other places for mundane partisan
bickering on the internet.

Notice and Fair Warning: Until the election day in the USA passes a heavy hand
of moderation is going to fall over mundane political postings that come on to
FFL with a particular embargo on posts which contain words, ‘Hillary’,
‘Donald’, ‘Clinton’ or ‘Trump’.
Writers should take alternate routes (detours) around these words for the next
three weeks.

There are any number of capable writers posting to FFL. Those who have
spiritual observation to offer can easily continue to offer their
considerations on FairfieldLife, a Yahoo-group community. -JaiGuruYou

banks. He has learned what it is like to play on the world stage, and got his
butt decisively kicked. He won't be dabbling again in politics any time soon.

Wouldn't be surprised if Melania dumps him after this is over, in a preemptive

I had that thought about Melania. She must be beside herself. First, that
speech gaffe she unwittingly made thanks to some inept speech writer was enough
to make her shrink into the woodwork and then all of the revelations about her
husband (which she must be somewhat aware of) but to have it plastered all over
the media makes it worse. She does not strike me as someone with thick skin nor
who would want to spend her days doing what President's wives have to do. And
after Trump's spectacular failure at the voting booths in November his business

Politics is a dirty business. Sometimes you, (a candidate) has to do things

her husband to further her political ambitions. There is, in my opinion,
nothing wrong with that.

Yes, it is a stain or a blemish on her that she attempted to discredit Bill's
accusers. But it was done and you have to acknowledge, or dance around it as
best you can and move on,

I for one am ready to move on, except when someone claims that it did not
happen, or to sugar coat it.

Unless something drastic happens she will win the election and has an
opportunity to do some good. That is what I am focussed on.

P.S. For some reason, you and others can't seem to realize that challenging
Hillary is not the same as supporting Trump. It just means that one is not
afraid to look at issues in an unbiased manner.

You don't think she gave her husband holy hell for what he did? I can
guarantee that behind closed doors she punished him and probably to this day
has never let him forget how much he hurt her, humiliated himself and her and
generally made their personal, not to mention their political, life a living
hell. Anyone who is being truthful will admit that when a spouse or a life
partner betrays you with another man or woman all hell breaks loose. You seek
to punish your partner and you seek to punish their sexual partner. Bill
certainly paid for his transgressions and I will say that many of the women he
had sexual contact with were more than willing. To blame Hillary for taking her
hurt out on those who betrayed her is being too critical.

it. Many just shrug and say, 'oh that's Trump, just being Trump'. Same with him
suggesting Hillary could be shot, same with his dangerous flip flops on major
policy issues, and utter lack of interest or experience in public service, 'oh
he will surround himself with good people'. Same with his admissions of sexual
assault, 'oh, its just locker room banter'.

On the other hand, Clinton's entire *life* is somehow seen as a legal
deposition, with every 'i' dotted and 't' crossed, held up to the strictest
legal and moral scrutiny.

What a bunch of bullshit, Steve. Not much more to add.

Very disappointing, but to be expected.

Ironically, as the other article I posted documents, all the high-profile

This, as I've already said, is about Trump boasting of his right as a

with it.

Bill Clinton's affair with Monica was consensual. She didn't sue him for
sexual harassment (let alone sexual assault) because she wouldn't have had a
chance of winning.

In most states in this country, kissing someone or grabbing their genitals for
sexual gratification without their consent is a crime subject to jail time.

And nobody's cutting Clinton any slack for his philandering. But Clinton's
sins have nothing whatsoever to do with this. Trump's is a whole other order of
misbehavior toward women.

Any normal person would acknowledge the crimes against women Bill has

bullshit. This woman hater's defeat may be the most decisive yet, in terms of

There might, just might, be justice in this world, this universe, after all.
This one isolated tape of one of the, no doubt, thousands of incidents in
Trump's sorry and sordid life might be enough to dump him in the cesspool he

After making sexually aggressive comments, Trump faces crisis inside campaign
and within his party.

This is simply the tip of the iceberg. Nothing revealed in this tape surprised
me even one tiny bit. Trump is an open book and if a tenth of his life were
caught on videotape the guy would have been in jail decades ago. What is more
interesting is to see what other people do with this now. Who are hypocrites,
who are self serving and who are simply morally bereft enough to think it no
big deal? Trump is a lost cause, a waste of skin, a two-bit player who has been
a slime his entire adult life and perhaps earlier. He is simply some catalyst
to see how America actually thinks and acts when faced with someone like him.

Shut up! Judy doesn't want to hear this kind of locker-room banter. Wash out
your mouth with soap! How dare you bring up the subject of JFK's infidelities!

Obviously she's really scared and upset about this - how in the world could
Trump, the brash boy-man, get this far to challenge Hillary Clinton? She is
owed this one - it's her her turn to sit in the oval office!

It's just outrageous - Hillary should have be ahead in the polls by at least
95% by now. The Democratic Party is reaching for straws now - panic mode is
really setting in as we close in on the final days of the election.

However, this isn't the October surprise - that will come in a few more days.
My guess is that a special prosecutor will be appointed to investigate the
cover-up by the Justice Department and the FBI in the Clinton email scandal.

Bill to Monica: "You can go now."

And we have had no saints as President. People loved JFK but he had secret

There are no saints running for public office - probably never have been

But if I were to guess what Bill said to Monica that day in the Oval Office,
it would be: "Oh my gawd!" or "What are you doing tomorrow?" or "I think I just
died and went to heaven!" Something like that.

Now refresh my memory, what saints are running for public office these days?
Would you want your local church lady to run for public office?

Since you brought up the subject, what exactly did Bill Clinton say to
Monica Lewinsky inside the Oval Office at the White House?
