[FairfieldLife] Re: How does this Energy Siphoning and Kundalini Blocking Really Work? (was 2011)

What do you mean by self transcending? Do you mean that the practice itself
leads the awareness of consciousness with no content? (ie. transcends thoughts
etc.). Or do you mean the practice transcends the self, somewhat confused as
to your meaning. Thanks

All good points, and he has apparently also completely misunderstood that the
beautiful thing about the TM program is it is *self-transcending* -- and that

But then, I don't know too many bona fide TM teachers who completely grasp

You're right about that post, of course; Vaj is completely wrong there,

[FairfieldLife] effect of tm regardless of philosophical context

2010-12-28 Thread johnlasher20002000
An excerpt of an article written by Larry Domash which addresses the psycho
physical aspects independent of the philosophical context.

Larry Domash, Ph.D (physics), who has
spent a considerable amount of time with Maharishi through the years.
Larry's background in physics, his clear writing and analytical style,
and personal experience with TM

(talking about mantras)
While in principle any thought could be so experienced, the
technology of meditation as revived and developed by Maharishi
finds as one of its principal practical results that the thought
associated with a sound is most universally appropriate for this
purpose. (The reasons for this are convincingly explained in
terms of the structure of subjective sensory experience in some
of Maharishi's earliest writings and no doubt provide a rich
lode of information for the neurophysiologist interested in the
relationships of the various sensory and thought-cognising areas
of the brain.) Furthermore, there is a particular set of sounds
handed down for centuries in the Shankaracharya tradition that
seem to have the special property of becoming increasingly
euphonious and pleasing as they are perceived at 'finer' (prior)
stages. These particular sounds are termed 'mantras' in
Sanskrit. The Shankaracharya tradition has preserved not only
these sounds, but also a system of rules or formulae by which
they are to be assigned to individuals, the idea being that a
particular sound has a quality that resonates best with the
structure of a particular nervous system. Behind these rules of
neurophysiological specificity there lies a rich and fascinating
theory of the mantras and their application; to date Maharishi
has not published his interpretation of this theory, although he
has indicated a desire to do so. No doubt this theory also holds
the greatest riches for the future of neurophysiological
research; in the meantime, however, Maharishi has emphasized
that in using the mantras on a practical level exactly as
prescribed by the unbroken tradition of his own teacher, one may
at least feel assured of correct and safe application,
guaranteed by long-accumulated experience.

Not clear on what your saying. Are you saying that the mantras don't get more
attractive as they are perceived at prior levels? If they are then they should
take the awareness to deeper levels of trance until there is just awareness
with no content. If you are a psychologist and have any experience of
neurolinguistics you should see the implications of this regardless of whatever
experiences Larry Domash did or did not have.

webpages after a period of 6 – 12 months. Therefore, Judith Bourque's testimony
was published on the vedicmasterclass.org domain sometime in mid to late 2006

make this story short I want inform you that Conny is good actor and he tell
all time untruth storys about his interviews, when he talked to people about
Sai Baba and his interviews he all time tell different storys, he said
something diffrent in 1998 and year after he said this same interview diffrent.
He lies all time. I belived that Conny had maybe interiviews during 1980 till
83 and since that time he made up other interviews. So he got last interview I
think in 1999.In this interview 1999 I belived him because he had witness.
When he came to Poland in September 1999 he said that Baba rape him many times
and Baba is fraud. We were shocked, he said that he is now ex baba devotee.
Also he wanted forses us to tell that Sai Baba rape even me and my brother! We
said Why i should lie? HE replay because this is game, this demon sai baba must
bit. HE said- tell people in sai movemnt in poland that sai rape you-,I said NO
I will not lie! Conny said I will pay you money only say that sai baba make sex
with you. I dont even tell that this was our last meeting with Conny. As you
see Conny is.. I dont know little crazy? Also I met Alayer In India 1999.Even
in 3 august 1999 we were sitting in same plane (in this same sitts) to Bombay
from Putapartii. We were also good friends because he know Conny Larsson very
well, Alayer speak about Baba in good way, he all time said that he love Baba
etc. BUt when HE came back to USA he spoke with Conny in august 1999 he decided
left Baba as Conny do. Maybe Conny paid him like he wanted paid us?

Meeting for the Masters' Class in Cypress was truly inspiring and an excellent
example of how to spend a meaningful holiday. We were a group of teachers from
several different countries, each bringing to the class an area of acquired
knowledge and experience…Conny spoke about the seven different states of
consciousness and also did some interpretations from Vyaasa, `the first Rishi,
or Seer'. That, for sure was an extra bonus at the seminar…I really look
forward to the next event of this kind that Conny organises! Judith Bourque,

[FairfieldLife] DOES BP REALLY WANT TO STOP THE SPILL

2010-05-30 Thread johnlasher20002000
What is going on? The BP oil spill could be stopped tomorrow. I can't believe
that the BP scientists don't know that if they heated the containment bell to a
modest 20 degrees centigrade the methane hydrate crystals would not block the
opening to the containment vessel. Merely embedding electric heating elements
would be one way to accomplish this. The Methane clathrate correlating pressure
and temperature is not esoteric knowledge. There is a chart on Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methane_clathrate . A depth of approximately 5000
ft and a temperature of 4 degrees Centigrade is clearly in the range where the
methane hydrate crystals form, as indeed they did. Lowering a bell heated to 20
centigrade would prevent the methane hydrate crystals from forming and would
allow the oil to flow. This is elementary chemistry. Why hasn't BP done this?

[FairfieldLife] Bush la la land

2006-09-19 Thread johnlasher20002000
I think you'll find this most interesting - if you take the time to
read. It could explain a lot.

Has Bush gone over the edge?

September 5, 2006 06:06 AM | Enemies of the State | 18 Comments

An increasing number of Republicans, ranging from former
conservative Congressman Joe Scarborough to former President George
H.W. Bush, worry that President George W. Bush's tenuous hold on
reality is slipping away and the leader of the free world may be
sliding into a full-fledged mental breakdown.

Scarborough sounded the warning recently when he devoted an episode
of his MSNBC talk show to the topic Is Bush an Idiot? Other
published reports say Bush's own father is worried about his son's
mental state. Psychiatrists who have observed Bush during his
presidency share this concern.

Writes
Jeffrey Steinberg in the ultra-conservative Lyndon LaRouche scandal
sheet Executive Intelligence Review:

The word is circulating in high-level Republican Party circles that
former President George H.W. Bush is profoundly worried about the
mental state of his son, the current President. According to the
sources, Bush 41 has been communicating with his own intimate
circle, including former National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft,
and former Secretary of State James Baker III, along with former
President Bill Clinton, about G.W.'s over-the-top support for
Israel's current self-destructive assault on Lebanon. The
ex-President has reportedly conveyed to his close associates that
he fears that G.W. is in a messianic state and is unreachable,
even by such close advisors as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Insight magazine, the online publication of the Washington Times,
buttressed this account, reporting in early August that, for the
first time, a rift has developed between Rice and President Bush,
over the President's one-sided support for Israel, in the ongoing
Israeli Defense Forces invasion of Lebanon.

Ordinarily, it is easy to dismiss a report from such a source but
others with credible track records are backing up the EIS report.
Bush family insiders say the former President's concern over his
son's mental state was a primary reason why the President made a
rare appearance at the family home in Connecticut during August.
Bush rarely visits his father. In fact, NBC news anchor Brian
Williams recently reported that former President Bill Clinton, who
defeated the elder Bush after one term, visits his former rival
more often.

White House aides point to the President's increasingly bizarre
behavior: an inpromptu massage of a foreign leader at the recent
G8 conference, his penchant for farting in front of new West Wing
aides and his rambling, often incoherent answers to reporters' questions.

John Dean, the White House counsel who helped bring down another
deranged President: Richard M. Nixon, shares the concern.

In his book, Conservatives Without Conscience, Dean calls
Republican-controlled Washington a bullying, manipulative,
prejudiced leadership edging the nation toward a dark era.

We have returned to the imperial presidency (that existed in the
Nixon era), Dean says. We have an unchecked presidency.

Are we on the road to fascism? he adds. Clearly, we are not on
that road yet. But it would not take much more misguided
authoritarian leadership, or thoughtless following of such leaders,
to find ourselves there.

I am not sure which is more frightening, he adds, another major
terror attack or the response of authoritarian conservatives to that
attack.

Dr. Justin Frank, the prominent George Washington University
psychiatrist who wrote Bush on the Couch: Inside the Mind of the
President, says Bush has lost touch with reality:

With every passing week, President Bush marches deeper and deeper
into a world of his own making. Central to Bush's world is an iron
will which demands that external reality be changed to conform to
his personal view of how things are.

As far as Bush is concerned, he is telling the truth; as Madeleine
Albright recently said to Columbia Magazine: the most serious
problem is that George Bush now believes what he says. Like many
of my hospitalized patients, Bush has created a vast, detailed but
vague delusional system he feels compelled to maintain at all
costs. This system helps him manage the terrifying anxiety that
threatens to make his already endangered inner world more chaotic.

Psychoanalytic theory suggests that Bush's true enemy is an aspect
of himself -- the overwhelming anxiety he works so hard to manage.
For Bush, lying remains a central defense mechanism in managing his
fears; he lies foremost to himself, altering his perception of
external or internal reality to fulfill his psychic need to
maintain order. His anxiety is so great that he cannot shift his
thinking to account for new information --especially the fact that
patriotic families of patriotic soldiers demand that he speak with
them.

Taking responsibility has always

I don't know about the TMO but I have worked with biofeedback for
years and do know the flying sutra itself does effect nearby people.
In one experiment which I conducted myself, I had a gentleman who was
psychic but not a meditator wired to a gsr machine which indicated
overall arousal level. I carefully calibrated the machine and placed
him facing away from me on a chair. I then, using an auditory tone for
feedback, had hem go into adeeply relaxed state where he leveled out.
I then let myself go into the flying impulse for a second with no
sound or movement. At that time he went into a much deeper state of
relaxation than his base level, although he had no indication of what
I was doing. When I asked him afterward what he had experienced when
he suddenly went deeper he said he saw white light. I don't know if
the numbers the TMO uses are correct but I am convinced there is an
effect on other people.

Actually the Dow went up this a.m., didn't start going
down again until this afternoon. As of this moment
(3:14 EST), it's lost all the gains (80-some points).

   According to AP:

Robust earnings growth at major oil companies lifted stocks
  through
most of the session, with Exxon Mobil Corp. posting the second-
highest profit ever reported by a public U.S. company and Royal
  Dutch
Shell PLC seeing a 40 percent jump in its income.

This is the Coherence Tunneling effect. Even though its a US course,
the effects tunnel (as in relativity theory) to other domains of
high coherence -- Netherlands -- global capital,

But the market returned to its recent trend of erratic trading as
traders grew anxious about the Commerce Department's GDP reading on
   Friday.

and more sidhas grew tired, especially time-zone ones from the west
coast, and began to snooze after rising way too early as one CP noted.

You might also want to keep track of market analysis
from news reports. If forecasts turn out to be on
target tomorrow, stocks should go up again.

Meant to add: But these numbers will represent what
was going on with the economy well before the course
  started.

Thats the problem -- with this and other ME (DC crime) studies. Its
only one intervention/impact. Its hard to seperate out on-going trends
to which ME courses are simply speciously correlated.

Whats needed is a long series of starts and stops:

2000 YF for two weeks. then two week of no YF. Two weeks 4000 YF, then
two week of no YF. Two weeks 1000 YF, then two week of no YF. Repeat
 5-20 times.

Then we could actually do some valid analysis on such data sets -- and
sort out any actual impacts of ME on markets.

Why has the crime rate in Fairfield gone up? Way more than the
required numbers.

  1. In his attempt to make the teaching digestible for everyone

  2. Because the spiritual teaching has been in the hand and minds

TM cuts you of from your emotions. Maybe as a result of 2. But the

I think the element which is missing in many is the intention to
surrender to the highest manifest as well as transcendent. For most
westerners TM is more a self improvement than a devotion. For Indians
the mantras are the energies of their Ishtadevatas or form of God.
This is not true for westerners who have a different conceptual way of
understanding God. This of course does not mean that westerners can't
do TM with the intention to surrender in devotion but many do it out
of ego rather than as a means of letting go of ego.

 *Dear Alumni and Friends,

This is a very urgent message from Dr. John Hagelin. Please send to
 all
your friends and loved ones. Thank You.

 Jennine Fellmer
 Director, Alumni Association

 URGENT!

 National Conference Call Thursday Evening
 to Mobilize the Entire Country!

 (See details below)

 *Dear Governors and Sidhas:

During a tender, yet grave phone call this evening here in Vlodrop,
Maharishi warned me in the most urgent terms about the imminent
 danger
to the world posed by the spiraling crises in the Middle East and
 around
 the world.

Maharishi charged me, the Rajas, and all of us to rally our strength-
 -to
join together to prevent the impending danger. Our government is
desperate for the peaceful, coherent national consciousness that
 only we
can provide. More than ever, America needs a powerful upsurge of
positivity and true invincibility--on the basis of indomitable peace.

Maharishi is calling for 2500 Governors and Sidhas to fly together
 in
 Fairfield/MVC immediately--and another 1000 in Washington, DC.

I am returning to America today to rally, with the support of Raja
Wynne, 1500 Yogic Flyers from Fairfield/MVC, and to mobilize another
1000 from across the nation to fly together in the Domes. Raja Dean
 and
Raja Bob LoPinto will immediately mobilize 1000 for Washington, DC.

Maharishi is checking with us every hour to monitor our success.

*THE TASK BEFORE US IS EASY*

Thirteen years ago, we gathered 4000 Yogic Flyers in Washington, DC,
 for
our historic National Demonstration Project. Today, we need only
 1000 in
Washington. In Fairfield, we already have close to 2000 Sidhas. All
 we
need to do is pull together in this hour of need.

We are asking as many residents of Washington and Fairfield/MVC as
possible to welcome guests into their homes--Yogic Flyers who have
 come
to contribute to this vital national effort.

 *INVINCIBLE AMERICA COURSE
 WILL BE HISTORIC AND SUBLIME*

The course will be rich with knowledge, profound experience, and
Maharishi's close personal guidance and participation. Maharishi has
just designed a powerful new program to generate maximum bliss,
enlightenment, and national invincibility, which will include three
powerful rounds of Yogic Flying each day. Foremost international
experts and Vaidyas will bless the course with the latest knowledge,
 inspiration, and services.

*THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN TRAINED FOR--*
*NOW IS THE TIME TO COME TOGETHER*

This is our expertise. Only we can save the nation and bring peace
 at
 this critical time.

*THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE*

Everyone should begin to come to Fairfield or Washington right
away--within the next day or two. We are prepared to receive people
 immediately.

*EVERYTHING IS BEING DONE TO OFFER THIS COURSE
AT--OR BELOW--THE COST OF FOOD AND HOUSING*

 * *Fairfield* We can provide this beautiful Invincible America
Course, including room and board, for $30 per day (or less) with
the generous support of our hosts in the community. (Deluxe
accommodations will also be organized for those who desire them.)
Don't let finances be an obstacle! We will try to arrange
scholarships for those who need them.

 * *Washington, DC* For DC area residents, and for guests of area
residents, the cost of the course will be about $40 per day for
food (lunch and dinner). For those requiring hotel accommodations,
the total cost will be approximately $80 per day, including room
and board (double occupancy), and $120 per day, including room and
board (single occupancy). We will continue to negotiate lower
 rates, if possible.

*THE COURSE IS ENVISIONED TO BE TWO MONTHS*

We hope you will come immediately to fulfill the urgent need of the
time, and stay as long as possible--hopefully for at least a month.

 *STEP 1*
*JOIN THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE CALL THURSDAY EVENING*

The call will occur at three different times:

 *8:15 EDT *

 * * 8:30 CDT · 8:30 PDT*

The number is* 512-879-2077*, and the code is* 55689#*

*/If you cannot connect due to excess volume, please view the

Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not
even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you
because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not
exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the
place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in

 more time.

What is not easy to understand for me is how a desire can be
fulfilled effortlessly as it is advertised.
Is our thought from transcendence that actracts circumstances, or
rather we become strong and sharp enough to deal better with our

or maybe to conquer shyness or else.
Ho does it work indeed ??

My approach is not materialistic as I am not looking for extra

person who tries to lead a normal life which so far has not been
that brilliant..especially with relationships (frienships, love
issues, and so on) and hoped to improve this very topic through TM
but gradually I became more silent even though the inner desire for
 communicating was still strong.
Furthermore after a wrong relationship it took years to get rid of
the bad feelings connected to it.
 Very down to earth issues.

I have noticed that TM practice leads inward but life is also
 outward.

I think that desires can , all other things being equal, be met more
easilly when there is practice thinking from the transcendence because
we become better at reading subtle cues in the environment and taking
advantage of the opportunities. It seems from recent advances in the
understanding of quantum mechanics that the environment has much more
information present than we normally percieve. This is not magic and
will not result in desires being met if we just sit back and wait for
them, but if we act in a goal oriented direction, we may well get more
data inputs if we transcend regularly than if we don't, increaing our
ability to reach these goals.

As I'm sure any of the psychologists on the list who have worked with
EEG biofeedback can attest, and I also have personal experience with,
a scalp electrode to provide brainwave feedback only measures a tiny
electrical impulse. Any movement or even blinking the eyes will
interfere with the accuracy of the reading. How can the TMO results
showing maximum brainwave coherence (which is a Fourier Analysis of
the outputs) while flying be possible. The movement would destroy the
data output???

My own experience, and observations of others, is that TMO's load up

I think a good test would be to take an Indian who comes from a long

function well as a vegetarian and see who actually performs better in a

regarding the nature of time, which I've been reflecting upon since
 I
first heard MMY talk about it, at Humboldt '70: that the future
 casts
a shadow into the past (or were his words, present?). After
decades, this concept has now found some support in a theory of
 Stephen
Hawking's; in essence, that the future does cast a shadow into the
 past
(if you will, our present, or into our past); through causes and
effects. Here's the first few paragraphs:

 Exploring Stephen Hawking's Flexiverse
 20 April 2006
 Amanda Gefter
 Magazine issue 2548
HERE'S how to build a universe. Step one: start at the beginning of
time. Step two: apply the laws of physics. Step three: sit back and
watch the universe evolve. Step four: cross your fingers and hope
that it comes out looking something like the one we live in.

That's the basic prescription for cosmology, the one physicists use
to decipher the history of the universe. But according to Stephen
Hawking of the University of Cambridge and Thomas Hertog of the
European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the steps are all
backward. According to these physicists, there is no history of the
universe. There is no immutable past, no 13.7 billion years of
evolution for cosmologists to retrace. Instead, there are many
possible histories, and the universe has lived them all. And if
that's not strange enough, you and I get to play a role in
 determining the universe's history. ...
[again my apologies, left that issue at home...; and I'll try to
get my password to copy the entire article].

The complete article is 3055 words long. [but Hawking's hypothesis
IMO opens up a can of worms, since he doesn't elucidate on the nature
of WHICH causes can generate the most profound effects, in terms of
 backward causation].
Various sci-fi authors have touched upon the themes of time-travel
 and backward causation; for example, Philip Dick and Isaac Asimov;
and it's a tempting notion to speculate on killing Hitler just at the
right time...perhaps when he was on route to the Munich Beer Hall, or
how about at conception, or birth?
An Outer Limits featured the story of a young woman in possession
of the time travel Sidhi, who attempted to travel back in time,
procure a job as a Nanny in the Hitler family, and kill the infant
Adolph. She grabbed the baby and the risk of her own life, quickly
ran to a bridge crossing a river, and threw the baby Adolph into the
water, drowning him. Mission accompalished, right? Hope...sorry; as
fate turned out, the Hitler Mom and Dad had another child, who turned
out to be another parallel world Adolph with a different name but
 fulfilling the same role.
In a Star Trek featuring Capt. Picard (the Patrick Steward
 character), Q - a demigod-like character with enormous supernatural
powers - asks the Capt. if he would like to go into his past and
change anything. Picard says yes, especially the incident when as a
young Lt, he was at a station visited by various races, among them
the Nothigans; a notoriously vicious bunch of rowdies not even the
Kling-Ons would mess with. As fate would have it, Picard got into a
fight with a group of Nothigans; and while out-fisting a few of them,
got done-in by one who stabbed him in the heart. He had to have a
heart transplant as a result; a fate Picard wished never occurred. Q
set up a retrial of that part of Picard's past, in which he never had
the fight with the Nothigans. But as a further consequence, Picard
had a much more timid personality and never rose above the rank of
Lt. Q's lesson: think twice before messing with the past. an
alternative past may turn out worse than the real past.

Bush Motorcade Aims Assault Rifles At Protesters In Florida

Prison Planet.com | May 12 2006

Eyewitnesses are reporting that during Bush's recent visit to Florida,
protesters were shocked to see security goons and secret service
aiming assault rifles at them hanging out of the window of the passing
motorcade.

Should we be surprised that ordinary bill of rights exercising
Americans are treated like terrorists in light of the latest
revelations on the NSA spying program?

Is this Nepal or America?

Accounts provided to the Daily Kos website are reprinted below.

Narrative re: Bush's visit to SCC on May 9, 2006 from Barbara Nicholson

We stood with about 50 others on rte 674 and when the motorcade came
by there was assault rifle OUT the window pointing at ALL of us and
the cars all looked like I remember seeing in the Hitler motorcades in
the movies when I was a child, all boxy and black and one had the Pres
seal and American flag on the sides. It was absolutely chilling! I
worked the inner city for 15 years with gangs and even with kids and
families of the Bloods and Crips and have never had an assault rifle
pointed my way. In my 75 years I have seen many Pres motorcades and
shook many pres hands and seen many pres elects and their entourage
but never anything like this with the motorcycles, big black cars and
rifles were just the very last straw. It wasn't the rifle that was
scary it was knowing that this madman is so insecure and scared and
psychotic that this is how he must travel. AARGH! USA, Banana
Republic for sure. Then to know our tax money paid for this photo op
and for the fundraising luncheon at the Renaissance Club is truly the
icing on the cake which will kill us all. Very depressing to say the
least.

>From an intern for Congressional candidate John Russell (FL-5):
Here is my full story, with everything correct. As you know I am
interning with John Russell, a candidate in District 5 running against
Ginny Brown-Waite. We went to the protest to make sure bush heard
about the problems with Medicare Part D. As the President drove by
John was delivering his message to the President, who was looking at
us out the window. I don't remember if it was before or after the
President's car, but inside on of the black suv's was a man holding,
what looked to be, an automatic rifle out the window. It was pointed
at the protesters. I am glad to hear that the people on the other side
of the street saw this too. Those of us on the corner I was on
couldn't believe that this had occurred, and John proceeded to tell
President Bush as he got out of the motorcade, 'how dare you point a
weapon at civil protesters' among other things. It was a very
interesting day for me, being the first time I have ever seen the
President, and the first time I have been directly threatened by the
President. hopefully this helps in lining up the stories. Please send
this out to everyone, and keep the talk growing. I want to know if
this is standard operating procedure for the Bush motorcade, or a one
time thing.

~Nic Zateslo
Intern for John Russell, Candidate for Congress District 5

And from Kossack boofdah:
Mary, Nic, and I were there as well; and yes, it went down exactly as
Barbara and John have said below. I don't think I've ever felt such a
sense of foreboding in my life as when I saw that automatic rifle
pointed at us, peaceful protesters.

At the time September 11th happened, I worked at a military base near
where I used to live before we moved to FL. Immediately after 9/11,
our base was at Threatcon D, meaning that the military personnel
guarding our base had to be armed. Yeah, I saw sharp-shooters and
automatic rifles; but I took some kind of comfort in the notion that
these measures were meant for the bad guys.

On Tuesday, the message that the sniper hanging out the window with
his automatic weapon had for us was that we peacefully-protesting
Americans were the bad guys. And that thought alone gave me the chills.

 Special Message St. Germaine Speaks
 11-19-2005
Greeting my Dear Ones of Light and Truth,

   I Am St. Germaine

You have asked the question, Will our American Troops come home?

Yes indeed the troops, all troops, in Iraq will be coming home.

You asked the question when?

Now. By this I mean this is already done and arranged by us and
many White Dragons on the ground in Iraq and in many other countries.
The troops know they are coming home.
The governments all involved in this war are beginning to pull their
troops out already. America has no more troops to send anywhere. The
recruiting job has failed. The troops left in Iraq are banning
together to get themselves out, with our and our White Dragons. You
will see a sit down by the American troops who will refuse to fight
any longer this senseless war. They know too much of the truth and are
banning together as we speak to do just this. Their courage to sit
down and be charged with treason and firing squad will not deter them
at all. They will only participate in Peace movements to restore the
terrible damage their government had them to do, under falsity and
lies. This event you will see and hear on your TV's and radios and
Internet. Then you will see the complete collapse of the Bush regime
and the new world order they had designed come to its end. They all
will be held in courts to be judged by the people for the people. All
parties will be held in a place they
cannot leave. Like where Saddam Hussein is held now. They will all
be there together. It will begin to happen in and around your Xmas
time. The days of warring comes to its end. The troops will lay down
their guns and leave their tanks and sit in Peace as an example of the
lies they will no longer serve. Pray for them all. It has and is
taking great courage to stand down in this war. It is like troops
(Gandhi) sit down. Many will join them and the whole world will
witness this event. The Divine Mother has been coming to the troops
and is helping them to awaken and to surrender to Peace as Impeccable
warriors for Peace. This kind of Warrior you may take great pride in.
With this bit of news I will now depart. Hold the Peace and Hold
this vision I have given you today.

[FairfieldLife] This explanes it

2005-11-16 Thread johnlasher20002000
THEORY OF DUMB DESIGN MAY EXPLAIN PAT

ROBERTSON

Televangelist's Brain, Mouth Elude Other Theories, Experts Say

Out of the controversial debate pitting the theory of evolution
against the theory of intelligent design has emerged a new theory,
dumb design, which some experts believe may explain the televangelist
Pat Robertson.

The theory of dumb design holds that human beings were designed by a
superior being, but one who mysteriously designed certain humans in a
particularly dumb way.

Enter Rev. Robertson, whom many experts in the theory of dumb design
are calling Exhibit A in their effort to prove that the theory holds
water.

If you take a look at Pat Robertson's brain and mouth, and how they
work or do not work in concert, you have a fairly persuasive argument
that the theory of dumb design is valid, said Dr. Davis Logsdon of
the University of Minnesota, one of the leading advocates of the dumb
design theory.

The theory of dumb design began to gain traction in August, when Rev.
Robertson called upon the U.S. to assassinate Venezuelan president
Hugo Chavez.

And last week, when Rev. Robertson warned the people of Dover,
Pennsylvania, that God would strike them with natural disasters after
they removed school board members who favored teaching creationism,
the theory of dumb design seemed to achieve critical mass.

But even an adherent of dumb design like Dr. Logsdon warns against
putting too much stock in the theory, adding, No one theory could
possible explain all the things Pat Robertson says.

regarding enlightenment. All mind games and ego
positions. Vaj, have you ever interacted with MMY
  personally?

I quote an earlier earlier post of yours dr.Pete:
The mind wants to have a story as a defense against
experiences that contradict its primary story. Why
have any story at all? MMY is a con artist; MMY is a
great saint. He's both, he's neither, he's nothing.
Why have any story/position at all. Does it matter?
 Attached, non-attached...just more stories.

Dr. Pete why do you want to create this story. Enlightened or not
enlightened, doesn't matter, just stories. In addition to that
enlightenment is a very confusing concept, because it is understood in
so many ways. I myself also understand it in many ways. In one end I
see every living sentient being to be enlightened and at the other
extreme no one qualifies. Why do you need to defend MMY hiding so
strongly behind the story of enlightenment (100% true).
Or maybe there is no I, who has an agenda to defend here. Words just
lightly pop up from nowhere, there is no weight, no emotional stirring
prompting YOU to write? Whom are YOU trying to delude here and why?

 Irmeli

In all the pondering about MMY's sanity honesty etc I think the real
question which underlies it is the effectiveness of the basic TM and
the TM-Sidhis programs. There is certainly some thought that if MMY is
a con man maybe he missrepresented thier effect. Or maybe The
program/s are effective regardless of MMY's personality. This seems to
be the big question at least in my mind.

[FairfieldLife] This is dedicated to the one we love

2005-10-25 Thread johnlasher20002000
Ask your local DJ to dedicate this song to GW Bush

MASTERS OF WAR Bob Dylan

Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build the big bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks

You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly

Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain

You fasten the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you set back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion
As young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud

You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins

How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
Even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand o'er your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

[FairfieldLife] A Man of Fairth speaks ou

2005-09-13 Thread johnlasher20002000
Dr. Robin Meyers speaking at Oklahoma University Peace Rally.
(He is a minister of Mayflower Congregational Church in Oklahoma City,
an Open and Affirming, Peace and Justice Church in northwest Oklahoma
City, and professor of Rhetoric at Oklahoma City University.)

Tonight, I join ranks of those who are angry, because I have watched
as the faith I love has been taken over by fundamentalists who claim
to speak for Jesus, but whose actions are anything but Christian.

We've heard a lot lately about so-called moral values as having
swung the election to President Bush. Well, I'm a great believer in
moral values, but we need to have a discussion, all over this country,
about exactly what constitutes a moral value -- I mean what are we
talking about?Because we don't get to make them up as we go along,
especially not if we are people of faith. We have an inherited
tradition of what is right and wrong, and moral is as moral does.

Let me give you just a few of the reasons why I take issue with those
in power who claim moral values are on their side:

-- When you start a war on false pretenses, and then act as if your
deceptions are justified because you are doing God's will, and that
your critics are either unpatriotic or lacking in faith, there are
some of us who have given our lives to teaching and preaching the
faith who believe that this is not only not moral, but immoral.

--When you live in a country that has established international
rules for waging a just war, build the United Nations on your own soil
to enforce them, and then arrogantly break the very rules you set down
for the rest of the world, you are doing something immoral.

-- When you claim that Jesus is the Lord of your life, and yet fail
to acknowledge that your policies ignore his essential teaching, or
turn them on their head (you know, Sermon on the Mount stuff like that
we must never return violence for violence and that those who live by
the sword will die by the sword), you are doing something immoral.

-- When you act as if the lives of Iraqi civilians are not as
important as the lives of American soldiers, and refuse to even count
them, you are doing something immoral.

-- When you find a way to avoid combat in Vietnam, and then question
the patriotism of someone who volunteered to fight, and came home a
hero, you are doing something immoral.

-- When you ignore the fundamental teachings of the gospel, which says
that the way the strong treat the weak is the ultimate ethical test,
by giving tax breaks to the wealthiest among us so the strong will get
stronger and the weak will get weaker, you are doing something immoral.

-- When you wink at the torture of prisoners, and deprive so-called
enemy combatants of the rules of the Geneva convention, which your
own country helped to establish and insists that other countries
follow, you are doing something immoral.

-- When you claim that the world can be divided up into the good
guys and the evil doers, slice up your own nation into those who are
with you, or with the terrorists -- and then launch a war which
enriches your own friends and seizes control of the oil to which we
are addicted, instead of helping us to kick the habit, you are doing
something immoral.

-- When you fail to veto a single spending bill, but ask us to pay
for a war with no exit strategy and no end in sight, creating an
enormous deficit that hangs like a great millstone around the necks of
our children, you are doing something immoral.

-- When you cause most of the rest of the world to hate a country
that was once the most loved country in the world, and act like it
doesn't matter what others think of us, only what God thinks of you,
you have done something immoral.

-- When you use hatred of homosexuals as a wedge issue to turn out
record numbers of evangelical voters, and use the Constitution as a
tool of discrimination, you are doing something immoral.

-- When you favor the death penalty, and yet claim to be a follower
of Jesus, who said an eye for an eye was the old way, not the way of
the kingdom, you are doing something immoral.

-- When you dismantle countless environmental laws designed to
protect the earth, which is God's gift to us all, so that the
corporations that bought and paid for your favors will make higher
profits while our children breathe dirty air and live in a toxic
world, you have done something immoral. The earth belongs to the
Lord, not Halliburton.

-- When you claim that our God is bigger than their God, and that our
killing is righteous, while theirs is evil, we have begun to resemble
the enemy we claim to be fighting, and that is immoral. We have met
the enemy, and the enemy is us.

  - When you tell people that you intend to run and govern as a
compassionate conservative, using the word which is the essence of
all religious faith: compassion, and then show no compassion for
anyone who disagrees with you, and no patience with those who cry to
you

The trouble with spouting doctrine, or dogma, written from the

Ceasears, Emperors, Politicians(like BushCo,), is that it is all
about control, and black and white.
These doctrines leave no room for questioning, which is how Jesus
taught. Funny how Jesus is always portrayed in the movies,. as
though he is some great Roman Orator. Ridiculous.
If you know what the reality of being with Jesus was like, and the
two dimentional view you get through this dogma, like Maharishi
says, Knowledge in the book, stays in the book.
And also, Knowledge in Structured in Consciousness.
As far as the Mantras are concerned, all you need to know is that
they are sounds which have been used for thousands of years to
Transcend, and Experience the Kingdom of Heaven Within as Jesus
  recommended we do.
Jesus also recommended and suggested that his Disciples perform
 the
miracles he told them were possible, and heal people through true
  spiritual power.
The same kind of spiritual power, like healing and using herbs,
 that
thousand of innocent people, where burned alive in public, by the
Dogma of the Church, being used then as it is now, to divide and
conquer, and keep humanity in the demonic grip of lies, and
  deceptions.
So, take you Jesus Christ and keep him to yourself. Take your
 dogma
and talk to other parrots like yourself, to you all can
 congratulate
yourselves, that you are on the path, and no one else, who doesn't
believe like you, could possibly be making spiritual progress.
This attitude in it's other manifestation, was at the root of so
  many holocausts throughout time.
The Higher Power, is something you have to discover for yourself?
It is not something that is contained in a book or in a concept.
The only way to experience God, is to become One with God, like
  Jesus suggested.
His prayer goes like this: Our Father who art in Heaven.
My Father in Heaven, Jesus' Father in Heaven, are the same Father.
And as Jesus suggested: Seek ye for that Father within.
Maharishi has provided and invaluable tool for going within, and
finding the God who is within us, and like the Ancient Jewish
people, like Jesus knows, God is beyond any name or form.
  He (SHE) is Transcendental.

  Further:

This idea that 'I am the way, the truth, and the light, and no one
get's into Heaven unless I say so...
This is exactly the same attitude the Roman's had toward the Jews of
 the time;
That they must bow to Caesar, and worship him as a god; and the Jews
refused to do that, which eventually led to the Roman Holocaust, of
that period and the dispersal of the Jews and many Jews of the time
who believed in the teachings of Jesus.
Like Maharsihi, or any true Holy man, Jesus, did not want people to
 worship him;
Instead he wanted them to rise in consciousness, just as Maharishi,
or any other Awakened One, attempts to do.
The religion which is institutionalized as Chrisitanity, is more a
political doctrine, based in Roman, and European attitudes,
 traditions, and abuses of power.

   Dear friends,

let me just answer to some of your points:

On the issue of Christ being the only way:

That is not my true believer's idea, but it is what Christ is
teaching. It is not matter of my way or your way, it is a
  matter
of God's way or man's way. Man's way does not work, never, no
  matter
what it is. The gulf between God and man is so great that only
 God
can bridge it. And He did.

Christ not only said that He is the way the truth and the life

said that unless I partake of His nature, I have no life in

[FairfieldLife] Samyama

2005-06-28 Thread johnlasher20002000
There seems to be a difference between Maharishi's description of
samyama and that of most other saints.

Most teachers would consider what we do as TM meditation as doing
samyama on the mantra, that is, dharana dhyana and samadhi. Maharishi
considers samyama as a more directed focus on the subject followed by
letting go back to being. There is a difference in Maharishi's model.

[FairfieldLife] More on England

2005-06-28 Thread johnlasher20002000
 Climate Change
'To Drown Britain'
By Michael McCarthy
Environment Editor
The Telegraph - UK
6-28-5

Sea-level rise caused by climate change could turn Britain into a
string of islands, a study published today suggests.

Rises could drown the centre of London and leave many low-lying cities
and coastal towns waterlogged, including Edinburgh, Newcastle upon
Tyne, Scunthorpe, Bristol, Plymouth, Norwich, Peterborough and
Bournemouth, according to the Benfield Hazard Research Centre at
University College London.

Global sea levels are expected to rise with the temperatures, from the
melting of ice sheets at present on land, and the expansion of sea
water as it warms.

Reseachers matched rising sea-level scenarios against ultra-accurate
data on the UK's topography from the US space shuttle. The study,
which was carried out for the cable and satellite channel UKTV History
to celebrate its forthcoming series The British Isles - A Natural
History, was led by Benfield's director, Professor Bill McGuire.

The west Antarctic ice sheet is the most worrying, Professor McGuire
said. If this melts, with the continued thermal expansion of
seawater, London and many other coastal cities could disappear beneath
the waves within 200 years.

SOCIAL SECURITY:

(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.

Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of
course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of
their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special
plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own
benefit plan.

In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change
it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.

Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments..

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may
expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred
Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275,000.00 during the
last years of their lives.

This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two
Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more
during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. NADAZILCH

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I
pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan
come directly from the General Funds;

OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid)
into,-every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our
employer)-we can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after
retirement.

Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000
monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator! Bill
Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to:

Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and
Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us

then sit back.

and see how fast they would fix it.

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be
planted and maybe good changes will evolve.

How many people CAN you send this to?

Better yet.

How many people WILL you send this to ?

 Blacks Tell Of Mugabe's
Mega-Rampage Destruction
From Jan Lamprecht
AfricanCrisis.Org
6-25-5

Here are the views, from a BBC website where Zimbabweans were asked to
describe their views and experiences about what Mugabe did. Take note
of the stories told by those who were there, and what they saw: the
bulldozing and smashing of houses in an instant - the setting fire to
of houses with all the people's belongings inside. This is Mugabe's
so-called Clean up. But we all know what it really is. It is revenge
on the poor for voting for the MDC in the last election. This is
Mugabe's payback. -- Jan

BBC News

What do you think about the demolitions underway in Zimbabwe's second
city? Have you been affected?

The crackdown known as Operation Murambatsvina [Drive out rubbish],
which the United Nations says has left some 200,000 people homeless,
has been condemned by Zimbabwe's churches, teachers and doctors.

Police have met some resistance from township residents in Bulawayo
while demolishing what the government calls illegal structures.

President Robert Mugabe said it is needed to restore sanity to
Zimbabwe's towns and cities.

Have you witnessed the demolitions taking place in Zimbabwe? What do
you think about these actions?

The following comments reflect the balance of opinion we have received
so far:

The world would be outraged if this sort of thing was done under the
apartheid regime

Why is it that the world would be outraged if this sort of thing was
done under the apartheid regime? I cannot understand how our
neighbours think it is ok that blacks oppress other blacks.
Zimbabweans need help, but nobody cares enough. -- A. Mhlanga, UK
(from Zimbabwe)

Robert Mugabe continues his insane acts of breaking down rather than
building on the strengths of his country.(Unlike some other African
Countries) I feel sure areas of demolition are influenced by tribal
connections in Zimbabwe. -- John Hodson, Westbank Canada

What do you think would happen if you tried to set up a vegetable
stall in the middle on Times Square in New York, or Piccadilly Circus
in London? What do you think would happen if you built unapproved
structures in any city in any part of the world? The only reason
people are up in arms is because this is being done in Zimbabwe. The
double standards are disgusting. -- Mwana Wevhu, USA

Shameful, Shameful, and my heart cries out - have mercy on the
families that have been placed off of their land and displaced at the
same time. Little children having no place to call home. Parents
having no answer for their children. The president of the country has
no heart to care and bear no responsibility for his shameful actions.
--Margaret Griffin

This latest disregard for his own people has nothing to do with
'restoring sanity' but rather a means of revenge for to those who
voted the other way.

No matter how open-minded or objective I may be this devastation is
immoral and senseless. For many years Mugabe has done as he pleases.
It is blatantly obvious that this latest disregard for his own people
has nothing to do with restoring sanity' but rather a means of
revenge for to those who voted the other way. What makes me sick is
that the rest of the world does nothing about it. Leaders of some of
the most powerful states in the world stand by and give the impression
that this is just the new way of life for Zimbabweans. If Zimbabwe was
an oil rich country I know things would be different. -- MS, England

Why all this noise about the demolitions in Zimbabwe? Demolitions of
illegal settlements take place all the time in African countries and
no foreign media has ever commented. Due to the huge problem of
rural/urban migration in developing countries the problem of illegal
settlements mushrooming all over is very rampant. Drought, famine, war
and the resultant poverty, as well as stories of the good life in the
urban areas drive many rural people to towns/cities. Illegal
structures springing up in empty lots and city suburbs are the worst
nightmare for town planners. Unfortunately some people think that a
vacant piece of land is an invitation to move in. Often these areas
have long been included in the town and regional planner's projections.

In Botswana just four years ago the government did a similar clean-up
exercise to the one in Zimbabwe. This involved bulldozers tearing down
people's houses at an area called Tsolamosese just on the outskirts
of the capital city. Of course people were unhappy and the odd
politician tried to make capital out of it. The fact was that people
knew it was illegal to put up houses in the area but went ahead anyway
because they claimed it was taking for ever to acquire plots from the
local authorities. Lets face it, it's all very well to criticise from
a nice comfortable suburb in the first world but unless the problem of
illegal structures is controlled, the towns and cities of Africa will
all end up looking like shanty towns. Mmabatho

[FairfieldLife] Re: So what's the verdict? the dream

little boxcar once and for all.. through CONVINCING enough rational
or supernatural means (neither of which seem manifest in MMY's
Movement). Otherwise there is no distinguishing between enlightenment
and self-delusion, if the boxcar of the world remains unchanged. My
personal verdict? Increasingly that we're all just kidding ourselves.
I believed the dream for a while but have had a rude awakening,
thanks partly to FFL. But I'd love to be proved wrong!

Then create a new dream that's more appealing. For example I frame
the MMY situation as MMY has realized that the knowledge will only be
kept alive by a large group of inner directed individual. He also
needs a core group who he is trying to make self sufficient by making
their following more and more difficult both in terms of money
invested and other ego shattering methods such as having very wealthy
otherwise successful people pay huge amounts of money to then be
required to dress in costumes and walk around in public. Now anyone
can create their own scenero ranging form MMY is an evil fraud, to MMY
is delusional and on and on. No one can difinitively prove their dream
is the actual one. So I prefer one which frame the situation in a way
which serves my world view better. After all everything we percieve is
our own neurolinguistic dream.

incomplete and really more of a first level kind of introductory

kind of cobbled together from assorted sources and presented as the
whole picture while in reality it is just neo-vedic mumbo jumbo with
the main purpose of just placating psuedo seekers with a promise of
 effortless spiritual growth.

I am not sure who wrote the above. I tend, however, to agree to some
extent. Maharishi made it up as he went along, trying to understand
the West and marketing his wisdom by trying to make it
increasingly `just what the Americans wanted'.

He started out with a single `way' of using one mantra, ram /raam/.

That `way' of using the mantra was, actually, all he ever had and is
 still the whole thing, the only thing. But, it's brilliant;
especially when you decide you've had enough of what Maharishi is
offering (and the craziness his organization seems to demand).

Moving on to explore other offerings in the spiritual market, one
finds that Maharishi's `way' of returning to the base or foundation
of whatever new practise you are exploring is ideal for discovering
just what you are working with.

I give Maharishi a lot of credit. Maybe he started out in England
sitting on a dirty deerskin (someone told me that his deerskin was
Guru Dev's ... probably apocryphal, but a nice thought) and was
overwhelmed by success. In the 10 years I knew him, he could be quite
the naïveté about things ordinary to Westerners – we, on the other
hand, were just as naive about the things he was full of (no surprise
 there!).

But, as Rick says he learned, absolutely YES: Maharishi equated $
with success, material as well as spiritual ... because the material
can only come from the spiritual (and this is precisely how his
reasoning on the matter goes). Hence, he tells us how advanced he
is by printing his own money!

Does this make him a bad person, a charlatan, a corrupter of youth, a
fraud, etc.? That can only depend on where you are coming from. That
single gift of his way of returning to the base or foundation of
 meditation is beyond measure.

Maharishi often made it clear that he didn't like the hangers-on.
Trouble was, he needed someone to help; hard-working as he was, he
simply couldn't do it all. So the hangers-on eventually morphed into
his rather loony organization which tries to shape things in its own
warped image of how things should be.

It must be very sad for Maharishi to have such vision and to have to
 depend upon such blindness.

What might have been? Who knows. What is? Well, what is is what is
and what you make of it. Despite having been party to many of
Maharishi's fits of pique and downright meanness on occasion, I am
still quite fond of him. Would I want to be part of his inner circle?
 NO, NO, NO, NO. NO.

My thoughts on the matter: take what he has given, an almost
magical `way' and go about enjoying your life.

[FairfieldLife] samyama vs. meditation

2005-05-06 Thread johnlasher20002000
I have never been clear about the difference between samyama and TM
meditation. (I know the difference as per tm-sidhis instructions, but
in general)

In samyama there is concentration (effortlessly thinking the mantra in
TM) meditation going beyond thought and samdhi. Why is practicing TM
not really doing samyama where the object is the mantra (disregarding
the definite picking up the sutra every 15 sec which is done in some
other forms of meditation with a mantra.)

There are questions about whether the bi-laws were followed when the
