Just gotta say...

I clicked on Nabby's link below and laughed out loud because I'd never seen
that website

layout before. Be honest here...if you didn't now who DL was, what would you
think if you

stumbled upon this photo:

overlaid with the words Overcoming Trauma - Transforming Lives?

Fundamentalist preacher, right?

Still laughing. Wouldn't David Lynch be *great* playing an insane TV preacher
in a movie? He wouldn't even need any dialogue to be creepy. Just put his face
on a TV screen in the background with a bunch of people watching it and half
the audience would be totally creeped out without a word being spoken. :-)

Turq,

Try to do something productive one day. You know, like help someone.

It feels good.

You'll become better.

Some people feel better when they have someone to talk to, Dan. You're
helping Barry every time you respond to one of his messages. Maybe he is
having a difficult time these days and needs a little encouragement.
Sometimes it takes years to get over cult trauma like he went through.
What we have to do is try to empathize with him, so we can understand
the nature of the dissociation and discuss the cognitive dissonance.

/Life as an expatriate is interesting. You live in a foreign country,
among people whose language, if you are as lazy as I am, you do not
speak well enough to express even a fraction of the things that are on
your mind. You live among people whose customs are all different from
those you grew up with. They eat different foods, have different forms
of social interaction, hold different — sometimes *very* different —
things sacred than you do. And, as an American living in their country,
you try to learn from these people you meet, try to add to the sum of
your knowledge and expand your own view of planet Earth to encompass
theirs. But sometimes — I'll be honest — it gets to you.../

It sounds to me like Barry is JELLOS because David Lynch still has a full head
of hair. Go figure. Maybe it's time to see a photo of Barry's face. LoL!

 Do we have to?

Forty years ago he left the organization, or so he says.

Or maybe it's a situation where you can take Turq out of the TM, but you can't
take the TM out of Turq!
