Forgive me for not remembering the actual title of this topic started by
s3raphita, and for being too lazy to look it up. I did click on some of
the video links, and it was fun remembering back to seeing some of these
wonderful women perform live. Here are a few more that folks here might
not be aware of.

Mother Earth <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother_Earth_%28band%29>

Tracy Nelson <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracy_Nelson_%28singer%29> ,
the lead singer of this California band, was a phenomenon. I got to see
her perform this song live many times before she died far too young, and
the memory of those performances still shines brightly in my mind:

The Loading Zone <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Loading_Zone>

This one even has a TM connection, because one of the members was Paul
Fauerso. And while it was great to see Paul perform non-TM-oriented
music (downright East Bay Funk, truth be told), the real strength of the
band was its lead singer, Linda Tillery
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_Tillery> . She went on to perform
and become locally famous as Sweet Linda Divine. Here's one of her songs
from the Loading Zone period:

Fairport Convention <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairport_Convention>

This one's an English band, but I associate it with Californica because
that's where I was living when I discovered it. Like Tracy Nelson, Sandy
Denny <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Denny> died too young, and
we were deprived of where she would have gone, be it with the phenomenal
Fairport Convention or solo.
