FSP News - February 2012
Over 1000 movers in New Hampshire
Over 1000 adults have already moved to New Hampshire as part of the Free
State Project. These movers have started businesses, been elected to office,
formed advocacy organizations, created pro-liberty media, met their spouses
and/or raised their families, and helped make New Hampshire the best state
to live for pro-liberty enthusiasts and activists. _Read what
Seacoastonline.com_
(http://www.seacoastonline.com/articles/20120202-NEWS-202020396)
had to say about this wonderful milestone.
The Free State Project Money Bomb!
Supporters of the FSP are organizing another money bomb fundraiser for
March 1st, 2012! The last FSP Money Bomb was held October 1st, 2009, and can
only be described as a resounding success as it met and exceeded the goal of
$20,000 raised in one day! This time the goal is the same (as you can see
the FSP is VERY good at stretching a dollar) and we're hoping 1,000 people
will donate at least $20 each to help us reach that goal. Help us raise
$20,000 so we can reach our goal of 20,000 participants... SOONER rather than
later! There is no minimum amount to donate and the FSP accepts checks,
money orders, credit card, paypal and now BITCOINS! (heck, you can send em
some
gold/silver, too!) If you're on facebook rsvp to the _FSP Money Bomb
event here_ (https://www.facebook.com/events/266620543382029/) . Its all
happening March 1st, and all you need to do is head over to
_http://freestateproject.org/donate_ (http://freestateproject.org/donate) and
make your most
generous contribution! Remember the FSP runs on volunteers and voluntary
donations!
Don't want to wait? Don't! We could use your most generous donation NOW!
Got some room in the budget? Consider a recurring donation of even just five
dollars! Recurring donations are incredibly helpful when it comes to
planning out expenditures. And with our VASTLY expanded promotional effort we
need all the financial help we can get!
Liberty Forum is just a week away!
Lots of buzz this year with NO repeat speakers and Peter Schiff and Joel
Salatin as the keynote speakers!
Deadline for tickets for meals is Sunday the 19th. Non meal tickets can
still be purchased up to and including the day of the events.
We also have shooting events, movies, panels and more.

Libertopia now available on Amazon
Libertopia, the first feature film about the Free State Project, is now
available on Amazon for rent and purchase! If you haven't seen the film yet,
this is an easy way. For those who are already fans, filmmaker Christina
Heller urges you to write a favorite review on Amazon. Just type "Libertopia
Amazon" into google and it pops up. Good reviews go a long way on Amazon.
Let's get Libertopia viral!
FreeStateNow.com added big numbers to the Free State Project counter
FreeStateNow.com is a dynamic campaign to complete the Free State Project's
20,000 signer goal. Recently, over 250 signers were added to the rolls.
FreeStateNow.com uses phone and direct contact to introduce potential signers
to the concept of the Free State Project and present them with the
opportunity to sign-up. If you are excited by this great news, please consider
donating at _http://www.freestatenow.com/_ (http://www.freestatenow.com/)
Look out for action opportunities
Did you know that FSPers were in Maine handing out FSP brochures at the Ron
Paul events in Maine? Lots of questions about the FSP were answered. You,
too, could be handing out flyers at target rich environments. With the FSP
hitting 1000 participants now in NH... interest in the FSP is at an all
time high. We have over 11,000 pledged to come to NH.... if each person
reached out in these target rich environments would could reach the 20,000
participant count in no time.... All we need is YOU to reach out.
Ron Paul and New Hampshire
Ron Paul did very well in New Hampshire. For example, 4.3% of the entire
population voted for Ron Paul in NH, the next highest states were SC where
1.7% and IA where 0.9% of the population voted for Ron Paul. Ron Paul
received 17% more votes in NH than Obama. In fact, Ron Paul's very strong
showing in the New Hampshire Primaries gave Ron Paul a 70% boost in the South
Carolina Republican Primary polls and a 25% boost nationally. There is a
great _Ron Paul intro page_ (http://freestateproject.org/intro/ron_paul) on
the FSP website. There is also a _great resource page_
(http://forum.freestateproject.org/index.php?topic=24873.0) with a large
variety of articles
detailing how very well Ron Paul did in NH on the FSP Forum. Feel free to
share both the _Ron Paul intro page_
(http://freestateproject.org/intro/ron_paul) and the _great resource page_
(http://forum.freestateproject.org/index.php?topic=24873.0) with all of the
Ron Paul supporters you know.
The FSP Hits The Road!
FSP participants will be at numerous upcoming liberty events, to promote
the project and recruit new participants and movers! With just over 1,000
Porcupines residing in New Hampshire, creating tangible results, the time is
now to do what we can to reach the 20k participant goal and start the great
migration!
5th Annual International Students for Liberty Conference in DC (2/17-2/19)

FSP participant and New Hampshire resident Tom Ploszaj will be manning an
exhibitor booth and is looking for some energetic and enthusiastic
assistance! Are you already planning to attend the conference? If so, email

time!
Ron Paul is the Choice of the Troops - March on Washington, DC (2/20)
FSP participants will be attending the 'Ron Paul March' in our nation's
capital to support the choice of active duty and retired military, while
conducting outreach to potential FSP participants! This event is expected to
be
BIG, and it will be followed by an after-party headlined by Adam Kokesh
and Jordan Page! If you're in the area get on out there and start talking to
the crowd! This is a prime FSP recruitment opportunity!
Nullify Now! Philadelphia (3/31)
FSP participant and recent mover to the Seacoast, Mike Finger will be
speaking at the Nullify Now conference in Philadelphia! Mike is a marketing
communications professional and native of Manhattan, NY. He graduated with
honors from Tulane University with a BA in Philosophy. He has worked in real
estate development and on Wall Street, through which he gained a thorough
understanding of both marketing and economics. He is now the principal of
Centinel Consulting, an independent marketing agency in Portsmouth. Mike's
media credits include Al Jazeera English, the Portsmouth Herald,
LewRockwell.com, and the Tulane Hullabaloo.
He is joining a stellar line-up of speakers including nullification
historian Tom Woods! Tom will be giving a speech entitled "Nullification: How
to
Resist Federal Tyranny in the 21st Century!" Also speaking will be James
Babb of We Won’t Fly, Michael Boldin of the Tenth Amendment Center, and a
morning keynote speech by Robert Scott Bell.
If you're in the area, be sure to stop by at this terrific event and hear
all the wonderful speakers, including our very own! You can find more info

Action of the Month
The action of the month was pretty easy to come up with this month. The
_New Hampshire Liberty Forum_ (http://www.freestateproject.org/libertyforum)
happens from February 23-26, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza in Nashua, NH.
Please attend Liberty Forum, for even a day, if possible. If you cannot
attend, don't worry. You can still spread the word far and wide on social
media
and in other ways.

Feel free to make suggestions or comments on the _FSP Forum_
(http://forum.freestateproject.org/index.php?topic=23145.0) .
Website of the Month
_http://www.nhliberty.org_ (http://www.nhliberty.org/) - The New Hampshire
Liberty Alliance is a non-partisan coalition working to increase
individual freedom in New Hampshire. It does so by monitoring bills in the
legislative sessions and encouraging private charity, a civil society, and
citizen
involvement. The NHLA rates all of the NH bills, issues recommendations on
bills, makes sure State Representatives are given the recommendations,
rates legislators based on how they vote, holds a variety of meetings,
encourages its members to get involved with issues and helps elect pro-liberty
individuals, among other things. It's truly a one of a kind organization
which
no other non-profit, non-partisan organization in the US can hold a candle
to.
Facebook Page of the Month
_New Hampshire Coalition for Common Sense Marijuana Policy_
(https://www.facebook.com/groups/9163424085/) - It is another year which
means that the
grassroots activists at the New Hampshire Coalition for Common Sense
Marijuana Policy are working to bring common sense into the marijuana policy
debate again. There are several bills circulating this year including a
decriminalization bill and a legalization and tax bill. The group's page is
an
excellent way to learn what the organization is up to.

The Free State Project (FSP) is an effort to recruit 20,000 pro-liberty
activists to move to New Hampshire, where they will exert the fullest
practical effort toward the creation of a society in which the maximum role of
government is the protection of life, liberty and property. The work of
creating and sustaining such a society in New Hampshire is the job of
residents,
including project participants, not the Free State Project itself.
The FSP does not endorse any specific changes to government or strategies
to achieve them. The FSP does not take positions on issues, candidates,
legislation, places to move within New Hampshire, tactics or methods of
action. The one stipulation the FSP does make is that people who promote
violence, racial hatred, or bigotry are not welcome.
Reporting by the FSP on participant activity or NH events on the website,
in the newsletter, or in any other place does not represent support or
endorsement and may not portray the diversity of opinions and activities that
exists among participants.
