Although I believe that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has used deceptive means to spread the teaching of transcendental meditation, I am confident that his motives have been well intended. Although I have voiced criticism of Maharishi, it should not be construed that I believe him to have just been in it for the money or the fame.
This statement should not be interpreted as an endorsement of the man or his teachings. Just that I believe him to have intended well by his actions. I do not regret learning TM nor practicing it for well over three decades. As it happens I was originally prompted to write his biography as a showcase for some his wonderfully original thinking, it was only after the first few chapters I came to question some of his methods of spreading his beliefs.
