I'm sure the Beatles were amused with the review. Whether they
themselves knew what the reviewer was talking about would be another
matter. There is this tendency for record company PR people to cover up
any formal training. I do seem to recall that both George and Paul had

Remarkably prescient review for a band that had only just started to make
waves. Makes a salutary contrast to my many dismissals of new bands over the
