It appears to me that NASA may be looking at the wrong ET signatures to find alien worlds in space. Instead of directly listening for radio signals in space, It appears that AI may have to be used to determine exoplanets that have some evidence of life, such as water, methane and oxygen. IMO, this evidence can be found on exoplanets that are near our solar system. Similarly, this evidence may not be achievable for exoplanets that are over 1,000 light years away. ( Assuming that the present AI technology cannot gather this distant evidence for the time being).
