What are these diksha providers doing when they give diksha. Are
they
just giving shaktipat by touching someone on the third eye? I've
been
looking for a description on both Chalanda Ma and Kalki's web site
but
they don't explain it other than it being a transmission of energy
which is more the result than the process. Note I'm not looking for
anything secret here just something anyone would observe when seeing
people receive diksha.
I do not know much about deeksha, but from what you describe it in
your posts on FFL, I think I got one in Moscow by a Professor in
Sanskrit, a pandit.
He hold his hands over my head chanting Mantras in about 10 minutes I
think. He touched my head very carefully. It was very powerfull, and
gave a lot of strength and energy afterwards.

Thanks, Ingegerd. What I do takes just a few seconds and I place my
thumb on the forehead where the third eye is and the ring finger on the
top of the head or just the ring finger on the forehead. The power
comes from practicing the mantra for several years before I was allowed
to do it. That way the shakti is charged up plus I am not allowed at
this time to do anymore than 7 people a day. This is a traditional
teaching. My teacher and I were looking at both Chandala Ma's and
Kalki's website for descriptions but could not find much. He thinks
they are just doing a simple first chakra opening technique.
The movie Holy Smoke has an apt representation of powerful shaktipat
where at the beginning the character played by Kate Winslet gets
shaktipat from a guru at an ashram.
