Peter: What the hell does he know? Science is all theory, anyway, so? I trust Rush alot more. Shempmcgurk: The more global warming is debunked - Anatol : Debunked by whom? By Rush? Fine, let's get Rush to build the next space ship. There have been and are scientists who sell themselves To tobacco, beef, dairy, The SAD( Standard American Diet ) Diet The politics Nuclear plants which will never be safe Religious fanaticism The olive oil health myth Misguided economics of greed and selfishness Etc, etc And just plain meanness and nonsense Much as we see on this forum It is indeed unfortunate That many such views are supported by a forum Supposedly dedicated to seekers of truth And call that enlightenment It seem on this forum , many are stuck in the powerful hypnotisms of MMY's misguided teachings even those who supposedly oppose and foster their own misguided views While disregarding genuine spiritual teachers like Amma and Tolle and many others Who clearly inform us that the extinction of human race Is indeed a possibility due to its extreme selfishness And disregard for environment and the plight of those suffering There are scientists who sincerely and honestly do their job as integriously as possible within an area of caring But, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see what can be seen with plain and honest common sense Many sincere seekers come to this forum to check it out And leave shortly greatly disappointed Om, anatol

He said Earth's atmosphere can only stay this loaded with man-made carbon dioxide for a couple more decades without changes such as mass extinction, ecosystem collapse and dramatic sea level rises. We're toast if we don't get on a very different path, Hansen, director of the Goddard Institute of Space Sciences who is sometimes called the godfather of global warming science, told The Associated Press. This is the last chance. . A pastor was giving his weekly sermon to his flock one Sunday morning He was reading the sermon off of a sheet of notes he had prepared. In the margins of the notes next to a particular part of the sermon, he had scribbled: weak point, speak louder. The more global warming is debunked -- the whole enchilada is pretty much all debunked at this point -- the more that fear-mongers like Al Gore and this Hansen character tell us that doom is right around the corner. Anyone want to take bets that the sea isn't going to rise one inch this year and that Manhatten is not going to be under 10 feet of water by 2015? Strawman alert! No one has suggested the seas are going to rise this year or that that coastal areas will be under 10 feet by 2015. What they say is that they Earth is heating up and we are dangerously close to a *known* critical temperature where the ice caps will melt. The sea level was 300 feet higher before the ice age when temperatures were just a bit more than they are now. So unless heat *doesn't* melt ice. I haven't seen any actual debunking of climate science, just head-in-the-sand denial.
