Yes, THAT Rick Laird...the bass player from Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Rick, excellent interview! I had no idea Rick was into any of this. (Nor for
that matter that John Stowell was into TM. He often plays with a friend of
mine in the Pacific NW, bassist Glen Moore.)

I saw Mahavishnu's first gig actually, at the Gaslight club in NYC. This was
the gig that preceded the recording of their first album, The Inner Mounting
Flame. The Gaslight was a small club with a brick wall. Based on the name of
the band, I thought I was going to see something acoustic based. How wrong I
wasthey were LOUD! And very exciting!

I was trying to go to George Harrison's Concert For Bangladesh that night at
the Garden, but I couldn't get in. Going to see Mahavishnu was Plan B that
 night.

Rick's interview with Rick Laird can be seen here: http://www.facebook.com/#

 Thank you Rick!

You're welcome. I'll bring your post to Rick Laird's attention. The
interview can also be seen or heard at http://batgap.com/rick-laird/ and

The youtube link doesn't work, the batgap link does.

The lightening of you and the subject should be better adjusted.

Other than that I do congratulate you for making this fellow talk.
Great interview, I loved his parrot !

But when you denounce the works of Maharishi who gave you everyting, you make
me want to puke.

Yet you come back to His knowledge all the time. That's one of reasons why I
intensely dislike what you are doing.

Maharishi gave you a gift. Now you actively try to trash it.
You're a fool who do everything in the book to make yourself into a walking
tragedy and spiritual midget.

Mine too? I'm just using CFL's in my office. I'll try to improve it.

Other than that I do congratulate you for making this fellow talk.

I thought it was a child in the background. When I finally mentioned it, he
said it was a parrot.

But when you denounce the works of Maharishi who gave you everyting, you
make me want to puke.

By all means puke. Maharishi recommended it to a friend of mine on my
6-month course who wasn't having good experiences. He told him to do vamana
(vomiting) every morning. But what words did I denounce? Something in the
Laird interview?

Yet you come back to His knowledge all the time.

Of course I do. Most of my spiritual knowledge came from my association with
him.

That's one of reasons why I intensely dislike what you are doing.

What? FFL? BatGap? Which or what do you intensely dislike?

Maharishi gave you a gift. Now you actively try to trash it.

I do? How?

Thanks Nabby. Good to have you back. You must have been on vacation or
something. It seems to have reinvigorated you.

And Laird's eyebrows are a beautifully dyed Reagan-black, to boot.
Kinda like Groucho Marx.
Proving once again that Awakening knows no follicle or color
limitations.

CFL's can be okay as long as you have the camera set for them. They are
a different temperature than incandescent or any light leaking in from
outside. Lighting is the high art of cinematography and videography. I
haven't had time though to look at the video and may not this week with
company. But we may try to bring it up on the big screen.
