She shoots mooses. A Republican victory will mean that
there will not be one surviving sweets trolley in any
restaurant in your country.

In England, where we regard this sort of thing as most
regrettable, there will be plenty of moose. Book your
holidays now.

Oh, gee, that's real convincing, Lawson.

It's hard to believe that supposedly intelligent
people have such simplistic perspectives.

You and Sal can't deal with naunce, so you're

Try reading the words one by one, Sal, it might
help you to grasp what I'm actually saying,
instead of what you'd like me to have said.

See if you can find the word "permission" in
anything I wrote.

Then look up the word I did write ("position")
in Mr. Dictionary.

Get back to us when you think you've understood
what I said, OK?

Right, just as I thought, you were lying.

Why is it you can't seem to disagree with

it should be obvious, Judy. The repugs, as

I'm asking because last week you said this,

But you're well aware I don't support Palin; you

No, as I said, I've left the Democratic Party.

Nope, you recall incorrectly. What I pointed
out repeatedly was that the newly Democratic
Congress was *in a position* to turn things
around and that we needed to give them a little
time before we could determine whether they
were going to or not. If I ridiculed you--and
I don't believe I did--it would have been for
proclaiming something you had no basis for
being so certain about.

You might want to check out post #123015. Your

accomplish.

Just out of curiosity, Sal, what is it in your
fevered imagination that you think of as "the
dark side" that I'm supposedly now on?

I ask because you've lied so often about where I

When have they *not* done this? The only way for
either party to win is to attract swing voters.

"Thinking of asking"? That's what Hillary promised
to do after losing the primary and has been doing
ever since.

Actually they picked Palin primarily to shore up
McCain's very shaky support with the base; he's
not conservative enough for many Republican voters.
Palin isn't very attractive to most Hillary
supporters given her stance on "women's issues,"
including abortion.

I'm in agreement with Barry on this one. Whoever
tells the best story about solving these problems--
but primarily the economy--will win.

I agree with you on this one. I believe Marshall McCluhan once said
that the medium is the message, or maybe the massage.

Also, the movie starring Robert Redford about a presidential
candidate [The Selling of a President(?)] may have addressed your
point. After being elected president, he asked his handlers at the
end of the movie, "what I do now?".

They very different from the way I see things, but

I guess my question is whether you really believe

I don't.

I've worked for far too many software companies
that really DID have the Better Mousetrap, and the

I'm more of the opinion that the candidate who casts

Gee, I thought it was pretty clear from my
posts. My ideology hasn't changed, but the
Democratic Party is no longer in tune with
it.

The Dems took over Congress in 2006, but not
a damn thing has changed; they're still
kowtowing to the Republicans. Then the
Democratic leadership decided to go with
Obama instead of Hillary even though his
commitment to progressive goals is as thin
as dishwater.

And his supporters behaved abominably toward
her and her supporters, as they are now behaving
toward Palin, as thuggishly as I've ever seen
any Republicans behave.

It isn't that it's "all about Hillary"; it's
not. What they did to her is a *symptom* of
how the party has degenerated.

That's the short version.
