This radical eschatology has been inherited by all of the Abrahamic religions, Jewish, Islamic, Gnostic, and Protestant, through Mani. The first historical world religion was 'Mazdaism', sometimes called Zoroastrianism, the religion of Ahura Mazda: a firm belief in a transcendent God.
