I went on my morning walk at the waterfront park. On the back half of my walk I heard ambulance, police and fire sirens. Thought maybe someone might have had a heart attack downtown. As I got closer to the end of my walk I noted that the ambulance was actually at the entrance of the park and I could also see a fire truck maneuvering around but not much else. I figured as I left I would see what was going on. As I approached the entrance I could see cars were backed up but began moving as I approached. Right near the entrance was a flipped late model SUV on the lawn. How the hell they managed to do that I don't know because you can't go very fast there. But there were several police cars, the aid car and firetruck which left right behind me.
In San Francisco there was a report of some guy was being chased by police. He was naked and waving a machete and asking police to shoot him. The New Year is off to a good start.
