Re: [FairfieldLife] What we did today
Let me explain a bit. I have a Walmart one mile away, Target is four miles away. Some people don't see that much difference between the two other than Target might treat it's employees a little better. I'm not much into ideological shopping. Seems if you want to shop liberal you need a Costco membership. But I don't need to buy in mass quantities and Costco is also eight miles away. The ironic part is Walmart is where Costco used to be in this area. Costco wanted a larger store but the city fathers wouldn't allow expansion so they built a huge store in the neighboring community. The abandoned Costco building sat vacant for several years and then there was a fight over whether Fry's Electronics would move in or Walmart. The latter won out which was a slap in the face to Fry's since the founders of that company are from this community. Yeah, if Costco had remained a mile away I might have found a way to make it work. But I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face so I go to Walmart for some things but they're not getting rich off of me. Last fall I discussed my installation of security cameras which I bought at Fry's. Now Walmart is carrying that line and the cameras are $20 cheaper. There's a reason for that as I think Swann is blowing out that line and has already replaced it with a better one. The DIY security sector is taking off with Netgear redoing their Arlo line which takes the main problem of DIY camera systems by putting a battery you replace (or recharge) every three months in the camera and a magnetic holder for the cameras which are both indoor and outdoor. I suspect they have a secure mount though if you put it outdoors because miscreants would just knock them off a magnetic mount. The hardest part of putting in my wireless camera system was getting power to the cameras. Hmm, interesting interpretation by Emily and one I had not thought of as a possibility when I conjectured that Sharon did not use an Apple computer. See, this is what I like about different people contributing to a thought or a conversation - they can bring to it all sorts of new dimensions and ideas. Now, what is also fascinating is to see Sharon dismiss, out of hand, the idea that she is using an Apple by reading and responding to posts made by Apple computers. On one level, of course she is using or, alternatively, utilizing the technology of an Apple because if it weren't for that type of computer Ann's or Emily's posts would not be able to be perceived here. It seems as if you, Share, have perhaps not considered this idea carefully enough. Or maybe you just feel like defying Emily for her rather straightforward and, might I add, challenging theory. Dig deep Share. Try to put a little effort into what you say so that you have a little credibility to go with it. I googled the phrase and here is what I found - (not just taken from the drop down window; that doesn't tell you anythingtry to remember this for next time, even though you have acknowledged that Ann is RIGHT in determining that you are not tech savvy) - in full and cited appropriately with quotation marks. “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. — 'Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' — Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/12080.Ralph_Waldo_Emerson, Self-Reliance http://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/1758578 ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, sharelong60@... wrote : Judy, it was an honest mistake. Share, the thought of you reading FFL and simultaneously tapping away earnestly to keep those negative feelings away is a pretty cute visual. But, remember, with EFT: It is essential that the energy disturbance remains activated the whole time you are tapping in order to completely clear it. Therefore, you have to keep your attention focused on the negative feelings while tapping until they are gone. Getting distracted or thinking about two things at once can interfere with EFT working. http://www.eft-alive.com/how-to-do-EFT.html http://www.eft-alive.com/how-to-do-EFT.html Also, as an aside, I put the word using in quotes for a reason. We went to the Apple Store at Mall of the Americas to get the battery replaced in Rita's iPod. While we were there one of the geniuses showed us the Mac Pro with the dual workstation-class GPUs. Rita has an A.D. in Computer Graphics and a B.A. in Communication Arts and she wants to use Final Cut Pro software to edit her movie. Every new Mac Pro comes standard with dual AMD FirePro workstation-class GPUs, each with up to 6GB of dedicated VRAM and 2048 stream processors, providing up to 264GB/s of memory bandwidth and up to 3.5 teraflops. That's enough power to edit full-resolution 4K video while simultaneously rendering effects in the background -- and still connect up to three 4K displays.
