Seraphita , you are correct, Congress exempted themselves and their staffs and
I believe White House  and staff from Obamacare. I'm sure there are some other
federal employees( guards, janitors, etc.) that aren't. For months now, Obama
has been giving exemptions to numerous big businesses, follow the
money,Meanwhile Labor unions, his biggest backers are screaming that they want
out as well and that Obamacare is hurting jobs. He's picking and choosing, who
is and is not, exempt at this time. Not sure if that's exactly legal. Since
when does someone get to pick and choose who is obligated to follow a law now
and who follows it later?

Seraphita, it's complicated, but it's not true that federal employees are
exempt from Obamacare. That's one of many false stories about the ACA that has
been spread by Republicans opposed to it.

In European welfare states health care is usually free for everyone (free =

something most of us regard as merely a curiosity. However, one thing that made
me drop my marmalade at breakfast when I was reading the morning newspapers a
while back was the news that Congress members and their staff had voted to
exempt themselves from Obamacare provisions.  WTF!? Your Lords and Masters
dictate one set of laws for the plebs but then ensure that they themselves will
not be subject to the same regulations.

Don't do what we do, do what we say. Hypocrisy or what?

I don't care for Obamacare either but for obviously different reasons than you.
I would have prefered Single Payer.  Obamacare is a handout to the big
insurance companies.  I wanted to do away with them entirely.  The Tea Party
people seem to want to bend over and take it in the rear from the big health
insurance companies anyway.  You really want to pay extortion prices to them?
Or you also complain about paying for other people health care yet be free to
have no health care at all.  Guess who pays in that case?  The dunce cap is
sitting on the stool in the corner.  Now got sit on the stool and put on the
cap.
