I just wanted to announce the publication of my new book. It is a spiritual memoir docmenting my path though the TM movement and other spiritual organizations. The title is "Murphy's Laws of the Inner Life". This refers the fact that I attempt to derive spiritual aphorisms or "Laws" from every incident that I relate. This is a technique for using writing as a means of self-discovery that I have developed and taught since I left the MUM education department in 2003. The book takes a critical, but I think largely positive, look at the roll of teachers and spiritual organizations on the path of the seeker. I think most TM meditators would find it entertaining and of value-- at times nostalgic and at other times pondering issues that we all think about.
