And don't forget, we REALLY REALLY wanted to play with our
new 'toy'.

By willing such a thing such as an atomic bomb into existence, the
pseudo-owner, the small self, is then bound by desire to bring it to
fruition. Tricky little devil as it is, the ego will then make up
endless justification to ensure the fulfillment of its desire, in
this case, explode an atomic weapon over a civilian area. Just as
angels have toys, demons do too.

As to Dr. Pete's comment, I looked for him but saw no one, only
a 'field effect' transmission.

[FairfieldLife] Re: FW: Easter Surprise: 911 'II' - Pearl Harbor

2006-03-31 Thread markmeredith2002
I have 2 sources of info on this issue, both of them very honorable
men. My father was part of the central committee planning the final
invasion of Japan. He was always a big supporter of the decision to
bomb as he was aware of the official predicted casualty figures for
the invasion, which I don't remember exactly, but over a million
japanese and over 100,000 americans. My other source is a former
business associate who led the first marine division into japan after
the 2 bombs fell. He said the japanese had no real defenses left,
guns but no ammo, not as much will as believed. He feels the invasion
casualty figures were way too high.

I think the US felt the bombing would obviously save american lives
and possibly more japanese lives than an invasion. Sending a message
to the russians was clearly there, but I feel secondary.

Nah, Bush's grandfather was too busy making profits from the Nazis to have
much to do with Pearl Harbor.

I remember when the bombs started to fall on Baghdad
back in 2003, I suddenly had this image of a caveman
perched in a tree, dropping a rock on the head of a
guy from a rival tribe as he walked past.

Saying that Welch's reversals are not valid. He's explaing the
criteria for what he believes are valid reversals. He says that the

Oh, and who do you think let Pearl Harbor happen? Better to direct your
anger at FDR who as everyone now knows let the attack succeed because he
was desperate to bring America into the war.

No no no no no. Japan was finished and could not have continued the war.
The dropping of the Bombs was unnecessary. It was done to scare the
Russians. It's you who do not know history. And what's with the racism,

This shows the hypocrisy of the US, which is developing a new generation of
