He likes to get people riled up and goes out of his way to do so. You seem to get particularly riled up by him and a few others so it works out perfectly. (And I like to make comments on other people's behavior from the outside) Do you notice that no one else seems to care? It did seem to quiet down work for a while, there was much less of a personal feeling to the more polite replies-as if you/Barry had finally decided, what the heck, why keep this going-something like that. Yes, it's amazing to me that no one cares about the few people here, Barry one of them, who indulge in the most extraordinary hypocrisy, not to mention insults and just plain outright falsehoods. That seems to be OK with everybody, which I find mind- boggling. Appeasement and peace at any price, I guess. For starters, Barry swore awhile back that he was never going to comment on any of my posts or refer to me in any way ever again, even claimed to have killfiled me. He's done that many times before, both here and on alt.m.t, so the chances that he'd keep the vow this time around were pretty slim; and, in fact, he did not, as you see. It's *very* rare that Barry comments politely on any of my posts, directly or indirectly, so I'm not sure where you thought you saw an increased level of politeness. As for me, I simply say whatever I think needs to be said, if anything, about Barry's posts. If they're reasonable, accurate, and respectful, and I have something to add, I'll do so along the same lines. If they're outrageously false, illogical, hypocritical, and/or insulting, I'll point that out. Whether he's in responding mode has nothing to do with whether I critique his posts. All I'm interested in is setting the record straight. (As you may have noticed, he never addresses critiques anyway; he just lets loose with a barrage of ad hominem-- exactly what he criticized TMers for doing a few threads back.) Yahoo!
