If anyone is interested to know an accurate account of the origin and nature of 
Maharishi's involvement  with Swami Brahmananda Saraswati read this book and 
you will see how later accounts cannot possibly be true.

/Apparently MMY was a disciple of SBS a year before he became the 
Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath in 1941 at the age of 70. The swami is said 
to have been one of those rare siddhas (accomplished ones) who had the 
knowledge of Sri Vidya.//
