The problem is the movement failed to adapt with the times.  Do they 
still do seven steps like they did in the 1970s?  Back then it was not 
unusual for folks to go out to evening meetings and events. These days 
you do weekend courses  when people have time and not exhausted from work.

THANKS Doug also for these posts, from Bill Leed in Buffalo NY & Wainfleet Ont. 
I always read Ur posts & learn much from them Its spiritual HONEY for me. I 
also appreciate the more polite & friendly tone of FF. Life with Ur fine 
directing hand. 
Far less almost no negative words used here & its accompanying denigration of 
other posts. Its  always appreciated when I & otherers can read of Ur spiritual 
insights particularly on the Society of Friends ! 
Also the positive encouragement to come to FF .IA & use the domes etc. again 
THANKS in GREAT RESPECT , to U Doug!

​Y​ou probably heard that Enloe

​ Willingham​

passed last week. The following is a story that he told to four of us who were 
present in his hospital room about a month ago.



Enloe was one of the 108s in the early 70s. One day Maharishi asked a group of 
108s: Who would be willing go to foreign countries using their own resources 
(not the Movement resources). Maharishi also said: you just have to go there, I 
will do the rest.



Enloe went to Indonesia, a country he knew very little about at the time. On 
his way he was told by several people: be very careful, they don’t like 
foreigners in Indonesia, especially Indians.



So Enloe decided that he would spend the first weeks in Indonesia just getting 
a feel of the country, not mentioning why he was there.



One day he was in a shop. The shopkeeper’s three small children were there and 
Enloe asked the shopkeeper if he could take a picture of the children. She 
agreed, but said: come back on Sunday, they will be nicely dressed.



When Enloe returned on Sunday, the shopkeeper asked: What are you doing in 
Indonesia?



Enloe replied: Have you ever heard of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi?

 She replied: Yes, he initiated my whole family when my father was ambassador 
to Sweden.



She introduced Enloe to her father, who then introduced him to the top people 
in the government, many of whom Enloe initiated.



So Maharishi’s words came true: Enloe just had to go to Indonesia and Maharishi 
did the rest.



Now Enloe has gone to another new location and we expect Maharishi has taken 
care of the rest there.

Not in my experience. I’m 67, and I feel better than I did in my 20’s. 
Resting heart rate in the 50’s, blood pressure 110/60.




I just turned 70 and still feel like I'm in my 20s.  But mileage may vary.

Following that time, Ms. Peden spent years working for Maharishi
University of Management. She worked for the Institute for Public
Policy, the Natural Law Party, and finally she worked as
administrator for M.U.M.’s vedic science program.

Survivors include: her stepmother, Petch Peden, of Columbia
Missouri; one sister, Liza Mitchell of Webster Groves, Missouri;
and her close companion, Ken Chawkin of Fairfield.

Amalia was in her 80’s.  She goes way back with TM,  the movement, and the 
Fairfield meditating community.   She lived here independently in her own 
house. More recently she fell in her bathtub really whacking herself.  That 
sent her to the emergency room. That brought friends right away and then family 
to care for her.  She declined from the fall and died quietly yesterday 
morning. A life well lived.

Our dear friend William James Duke passed into the Life Eternal today 
at 2:54pm as the Supermoon was preparing to rise.  It was a powerful, 
graceful transition.  The cremation ceremony will be Friday at 
Behner’s Funeral and Crematorium…in the afternoon ( time TBA).  A 
reception will follow at the home of Catharine Castle (time and 
address TBA).

 Thursday Oct. 20, 2016, Andrew Sheehan, age 40, passed away while 
resting at home.  His parents are Brian and Theresa Sheehan, his 
sister is Anna Hunter and his two sons are Sebastian, 23, and 
Tristyn, 10. Their mother is Angela Sheehan.


Andrew’s parents ask that all who loved Andrew send loving thoughts 
and prayers to Andrew.


Andrew was a skilled builder and much loved.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at Behner 
Funeral Home. All are welcome. Those who wish may bring stems of 
flowers, no arrangements. Thank you.

Sally Peden, 69, of Fairfield, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016.

Ms. Peden was born May 26, 1947, in Columbia, Missouri.

She had devoted her life in personal service to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi 
since 1971. She traveled the world with him as a personal assistant 
and lived for many years at the International Capital for the 
Transcendental Meditation movement in Seelisberg, Switzerland.


Following that time, Ms. Peden spent years working for Maharishi 
University of Management. She worked for the Institute for Public 
Policy, the Natural Law Party, and finally she worked as administrator 
for M.U.M.’s vedic science program.


Survivors include: her stepmother, Petch Peden, of Columbia Missouri; 
one sister, Liza Mitchell of Webster Groves, Missouri; and her close 
companion, Ken Chawkin of Fairfield.

In addition to mineral deficiencies such as magnesium, sulfur, and selenium, 
even if the stats match those of the overall population, this is nothing 
commendable. People should be living to 120.
 Vit K1 and K2 deficiencies could be to blame in earlier than optimum 
lifespans.

B- No one thing out of the ordinary.   People die all the time.
 People die all along.
 We don't notice it so much
 in younger or middle age folks.
 But it happens all along.
 The larger baby-boom demographic 
 of the 
 meditator community is
 moving up to and through the window.
 It is just more evident (frequent).
 Get ready.
