Yes, I like the Youngblood version also. Solas was a group at Wintergrass this
year. There is more and more crossover between genres at this festival.
Pretty nice. Yes, bluegrass often upgrades different songs to a more upbeat
tempo (smile). Best enjoyed in person, I maintain.

I must admit I prefer the Youngblood's version. It is deeper and a bit less
upbeat.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see how soon all those googly-eyed smiling
faces would be turned into angry ants if he didn't do what he promised. He
won't and he can't do what he has promised and thank God for that. Some
reasonable minds still prevail and he will run into so much resistance that he
will be impotent. However, he has stirred something up and it will not go away
quietly. What is animating the Trump supporters is like some abomination
crawling out of some hideous place and it is now alive and it wants some sort
of vengeance, it wants blood and it wants some aspect of control in the form of
oppression and violence. He has awakened this in some Americans and when he is
not elected they will act out.
I was watching "Colony", a sci-fi TV series on USA where something (yet
undetermined) has set up a wall in Los Angeles. It is about 200 feet tall and I
kept thinking of the "the Donald" whenever it appeared. :-D Donald and his
effing wall. What a buffoon. Listening to him talking about why he won't put up
one across the Canadian border was hilarious. Listening to him talk about
building one on the Mexican border is pathetic. Of course, me being me, all I
could think of beyond the lunacy of it was ,"How will the wildlife cross over?"
LOL
But that's just my vengeful side talking.

I must admit I prefer the Youngblood's version. It is deeper and a bit less
upbeat.

How do you always find such perfect music? Women love this stuff - the men not
so much. I find it haunting and evocative - almost like I "remember" this from
a long time ago.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see how soon all those googly-eyed
smiling faces would be turned into angry ants if he didn't do what he
promised.

I was watching "Colony", a sci-fi TV series on USA where something (yet
undetermined) has set up a wall in Los Angeles. It is about 200 feet
tall and I kept thinking of the "the Donald" whenever it appeared. :-D

But that's just my vengeful side talking.
