Yes, starting next year. Unfortunately, their optics are so good, and they are so small, that we will not be able to easily use them for target practice. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, sharelong60@... wrote: Yikes! Re: [FairfieldLife] Netflix's new disc delivery method
Recently, I read about a new surveillance program, using optics and software, that makes it possible, with a continuously flying platform, to track every vehicle and human being within *five square miles* - all of them. Fairfield would be exceptionally easy to bring on line. Of course the manufacturer issues guidelines against invasion of privacy, though it is very creepy to think that the next time I go to visit someone, or even grab a gallon of milk, that trip will be registered, analyzed, and cataloged. This is going WAY beyond protecting our borders. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, no_re...@yahoogroups.com wrote: Yes, starting next year. Doc, the whole thing is ridiculous and obsessive and some madman's idea, not to mention a huge waste of taxpayer money! IMO! Re: [FairfieldLife] Netflix's new disc delivery method
It's looking more and more to be the end of the CD and the DVD disc as we know it - be sure to save a few for coasters and for craft projects. Soon, everything will be one the cloud available for .99 cents, so who would need a store, mail or a drone? Go figure. It will never fly - nobody is going to wait twenty seconds to download a movie disk when they could get it in 100 Mbps using fiber optics.
