I meant to send the email only to Rick, and actually had it in draft form with
only his email listed, but figured that was to his humor list email address and
what I thought was a different one than the usual FFL one (my yahoo email is so
slow it takes too long to go and verify things) and so I began over with trying
to reply to an FFL post by Rick and ended up sending it to everyone. Leave it
to shemp to post the embarrassing message in the first place and to the troll
set to scream about my post trying to help remove the embarrassing thread.
A new day and a new yuga and still the same old FFL.
Maybe it was worth the extra deletes required to expunge "Transcendental
Meditator X" from the archives to get some youtube humor out of it. :)
On another note, I'm having a post-midnight dinner at the Amma retreat in
Marlboro Wednesday night, and a young guy at the table keeps saying
"Fairfield", "Fairfield", "Fairfield". Turns out the two sitting directly to my
left, he and his girlfriend, are first year students at MUM and also Amma
devotees. He said the mix of paths is pretty normal at MUM these days.
"Love will swallow you, eat you up completely, until there is no `you,' only
love."
