The goal of meditation is to become a vector for pure consciousness. At that point the individual will feel like they don't exist. They will go through a whole week seldom being conscious of the small self. They will still carry out tasks and chores for their individual existence but they will not feel attached to them. A little shock may come if someone demands a focus on their localized awareness but of course even that is carried out with little or no attachment.
