Hi all,
'til now i've only made some experiments with Faust.
It's a very nice prototyping tool! (hoping for some vector/buffer oriented
FFT thing..)
But as i am a Win7/Win10 64bit user i can't rapidly export 64bit VST/i to
be used in my regular live performance setup. (VST3 export would be great
extensively in the next days.
thanks!

Thanks Stéphane!
A couple of problems
1. FaustLive export feature does not work on Win10 64bit. No architectures
are shown in the relevant fields.
2. Faust 2.14.4 always on Win10 claim that the path is to long to add to
the path enviroment variable (probably this does not add the faust path to
Hi all,
i'm glad to see the new Faust course on Kadenze and i think that it will
bring more and more attention for Faust.
BTW on the new Faust web compiler a lot of relevant architectures for Win64
are missing.
Win64 is now the de-facto standard.
This is a report
1. VST/i missing
2. SC Ugens

Great! I've not been workin' on Faust very much lately because the 64 bit
Windows support is behind the OSx and Linux ones. If I could compile VST/i,
max externals, etc. on Win64 i would use a lot more of Faust in my daily
work flow.
Thanks and best

Hi! Great news! Many thanks!
At least i can generate 64 bit VST on windows i guess!
I just generated a "dummy" plugin with the online compiler but Projucer
claims that

Hi guys,
sorry if i "steal" the thread a little bit.
But what Julius (thanks for all your work prof. Smith!!) said about using
C++ Faust generated code and incorporate it in a AU code backbone turns
some lights in my newbie mind.
Since a lot of platforms seems to be missing on the Windows side (i
Great stuff! I whish i could have it for Reaper and Ableton Live on Win

Hi guys,
FaustLive has an option for 64 bit .mxe64 export on Windows.
But the external exported is a .mxe for 32 bit Max.
Is Max 64 bit export functional on Windows?
many thanks

Hi all,
i realized that in the Faust community does not seems to be so much
activity in the Windows OS area.
Things i miss :
- faustgen~ for Windows 64 bit
- VST/i export for Windows 64 bit
- Supercollider export for both Win 32/64
- Csound export for Win 32/64.
- Albert Graef's faust-vst for Win
Hi all and happy 2016!
this is very intersting.
Just two questions.
1. Is there any ongoin work on Win 32/64bit architecture script files for
VST/i?
2. Is there any tutorial on how to code architecture script files?
many thanks and all the best

Hi guys,
since i migrated to the 64 bit Windows architecture and since there are no
maxmsp 64bit neither 64bit vst target in FaustLive, i wonder if there are
some faustgen~ sources that i can try to compile for Max 7 on Windws 64
bit.
thanks in advance for the info and all the best!

Hi all guys!
Very happy that Faust goes ahead!
Is any hope to see a Windows version and to have for Windows platform VST/i
64 bit compile, MaxMSP 64 bit external compile, Csound and Supercollider
compile in the near future?
Would be a great idea to have even Synthedit SEM compile.
many thanks

Hi Alfonso,
We don't provide Windows support, only Linux and OSX. But using MinGW it
is probably possible to compile Faust and use the relevant faust2xxx
scripts.
