Re: [Faudiostream-users] International Faust Conference - Seeking Some Advice
sounds exciting! Just as side notes, I'm sure you thought about this already :) : I'd greatly appreciate an accompanying (curated) concert program, possibly even a (small) festival that invites the interested general public to take part in the event as well. Also, please remember non-academics and (poor) artists that might want to take part in the conference but cannot afford large amounts of participation fees. big thumbs up! :D Till > On 08. Re: [Faudiostream-users] [Faudiostream-devel] International Faust Conference - Seeking Some Advice
Very exciting. I'd love to attend an International Faust Conference. On 8 Jun. 2017 1:59 pm, "Romain Michon"wrote: Greetings, We're excited to announce that we're thinking of organizing an "International Faust Conference (IFC)" next year. The whole idea behind this is to bring people in our community together to present our current work and to brainstorm/talk about future developments for Faust. This event will take place at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in Germany. While dates are still flexible, we're thinking about the 3d week of July 2018. The format of this conference (which we could probably also call a workshop) will be as follow (this is also still very flexible): - 2 days - Paper presentations (~20 mins each) in the morning - Round tables / open discussions / workshops in the afternoon - Beer/Wine (or anything you like) in the evening ;) There will be a call for papers. Topics will be pretty open, as long as they involve Faust in some ways. We'd love to get some feedback before we start organizing this event. Do you like the "global" format? Do you think the dates will work for you? Do you think you might attend (that one is kind of important as we'd like to get some estimate of how many people might come)? Do you have any suggestions/thoughts, etc.?
