I don't think Fedora will want to do the conversion unilaterally. So
that leaves out single-day conversion.

I had tried SFNT TTF/OTF, neither of them works with the

Getting opentype bitmap/sfnt wrapper to work for bitmaps is
definitely the way to go: it not only saves more than half of
the space, but also makes rendering a lot faster. The only
concern is the support to GTK1 applications
