Name : hdf5 Product : Fedora 8 Version : 1.6.7 Release : 1.fc8 URL : http://www.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/ Summary : A general purpose library and file format for storing scientific data Description : HDF5 is a general purpose library and file format for storing scientific data. HDF5 can store two primary objects: datasets and groups. A dataset is essentially a multidimensional array of data elements, and a group is a structure for organizing objects in an HDF5 file. Using these two basic objects, one can create and store almost any kind of scientific data structure, such as images, arrays of vectors, and structured and unstructured grids. You can also mix and match them in HDF5 files according to your needs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Update to 1.6.7 The stream I/O driver, H5FD_STREAM, has been removd from and is no longer distributed with the HDF5 Library. The following APIs have therefore been removed from this release. H5Pset_fapl_stream H5Pget_fapl_stream The stream driver ENUM value H5FD_STREAM has also been removed. While the stream driver is no longer distributed by The HDF Group, it will be made available as a source code distribution from http://hdf5-addons.origo.ethz.ch/.
