Hi Roxanne, Keep working with him. I'd treat all the symptoms first and see
how he is after that. There is always a chance for finding a place for him
too. Give him a chance and see if all the health problems don't work
themselves out. If not, then you know you did everything you possibly could
Good for you! Nice that you have a vet who was willing to help you.

Hi,

HI Carmen! little Ty has started with a respiratory problem now, very stuffed up. I called the vet and they are going to set me up with some antibiotics. What kind of treatments do you do for your FeLV kitties? Any guidance would be great. My vet isn't working with me as much as they first said
My vet dilutes it herself, can't your vet do that?

Hi Roxane and welcome,
First of all, thank you for being the kind of person that would take
little Ty in and not be persuaded to do anything drastic, (like pts),
until you had more information. I'm so glad you found us, you'll get
lots of info and support from this group. I want to make sure
Hi, Wendy
I'm happy to know there's someone in Texas who knows their way around,
especially better than I do. :) I got my kitty, Samantha, an
appointment with the Cancer Center you mentioned in Dallas, and a
friend who lives near there is helping me take her. The appointment is

When you first took him in, he had a slight URI which you treated with amoxi. His URI came while at the vets office, he spent the night because I had him neutered, was that a mistake? They sent amoxi home with him. He also had worms, so you treated him for that, what did you use for the

I love Best Friends! I think what they are doing is
fantastic. They are VERY well connected too. I am
sad today because I had to cancel our reservations to
visit and volunteer in the cat sanctuary at Best
Friends early next month. My husband took a new job
and we cannot take off.

Oh yes, nothing wrong with steroids for treating anemia - that's what Spaz
had, too, but I think the prednisolone injection is more effective than just
the tablets, which is what I thought was being used in this case. I also
feel like using pred before anemia has even been diagnosed while a

scent for the other ants to follow, so it is important to clean the areas
where you have seen ants, and find their trail, if possible. Just
destroying the scented trail can be very helpful. Also, just finding the

Thanks, Wendy! I only got to look through a little so far, but I can see
it's definitely going to be helpful, and there are several people I work

This is not the same situation, but
Spaz once had a fungal ear infection which the vet attempted to treat with
Conofite, and it did absolutely nothing. He then gave her a shot of
Depo-Medrol, and that gave excellent results.
