On our treatments page, there is mention of the drug Baypamun, and it's a bit of a mystery why it disappeared several years ago and didn't get any serious consideration. http://www.felineleukemia.org/baypamun.html Baypamun was once the most recommended drug for FELV in Germany, where it was developed, and showed great promise for treating FELV in cats. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=10515279&dopt=Abstract I have the answer as to what became of it.... In December 2003, Bayer HealthCare AG sold its rights to the Baypamun® (immunomodulator) brand to Pfizer for a total of €32 million. This may explain it's seeming disappearance since that time. Throughout my research in tracking down this mystery, I discovered that Pfizer has developed a new Parapox Ovis Virus Immunomodulator brand called Zylexis. It is my belief that this may be the exact same drug under a new brand name.
