Angela, definitely keep the appt. Knowing is better than not knowing, imo. If you know they are positive, you can treat them and take steps to keep them asymptomatic.... If you find out they are negative, you can breather easy. A friend had a negative in with a group of positives for FIVE YEARS and he never got sick (that's how she found out he was negative ~ had him tested or retested ~ she can't remember if she tested him originally...thinks she did). Dear Susan, Thank you for your email. I think Boy had felv+. Everything happened so fast last night that the only thing I heard was "Lukemia" and euth. I have two other kitties that were/are raised with Boy. The Vet says they should be checked. Why do this if the cancer is untreatable? I don't know if I should keep their appt. for today or not.
