Hey Marissa,
I have heard good things about Epogen, even with
non-regenerative anemia, so I hope that he does
respond to it. I prayed for Jake today and will
continue to do so. Please keep us posted.

Thank you Wendy. The vet did say that Jake's anemia is non-regenerative. I am still new to this so I am not "hip" on the terminology but am learning. Thanks for your prayers! I am taking him in to get another epogen shot today, and hopefully he will respond.

Hi Marissa,
Did the vet say whether or not Jake had any
reticulocytes present in his blood? This is
important, because it tells you whether or not he is
still making red blood cells or not. I put you and
Jake on my prayer list.

Marissa, I will keep you and Jake in my prayers. I know you will get wonderful helpful advice from the "veterans" on the list.Marissa <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:I just took Jake into the vet because he has been acting "not himself" lately. Lethargic, not eating as much, not as active, etc. An

transfusion. Some cats on the list have gone almost that low, though not
sure that low, and bounced back from combinations of these.

Marissa, I am so sorry. I haven't dealt with the anemia myself yet, but a lot of list members have. It's really a decision you have to make for yourself if you want to treat it aggressively or not. A lot depends on Jake and what you feel his quality of life is/will be with the treatment.
Positive thoughts coming your way!

I just took Jake into the vet because he has been acting "not himself" lately. Lethargic, not eating as much, not as active, etc. And I also saw him eating his littler. I had a feeling he was going to be anemic and I am sad to say I was right. I have no expereince whatsoever to this so I am all
