I have heard the same thing. I know that my cat Ginger, though, who is positive and about 6 years old, was given an FeLV shot at the shelter before her test came back positive, accidentally. She has had gingivitis problems but is the oldest and healthiest of the positives I have had (at

I would not do it unless I saw more than one large study done that proved it's value in at least 80% of the cats used in the studies. Like I've said many times before, I don't believe in the FELV vaccine at all, any normal adult cat will develop the immunity against FELV in time anyways, so the
