[Felvtalk] Abbey
Have to wait until 16th. Rick is off on 9th. He saw her on 2nd- ten days after 14 teeth pulled. I can only get her to eat watered down food such as kitten food, baby food, a/d, some fancy feast. She sits on my lap and eats usually. I got her to eat with a 500 mg lysine mixed in with food twice now. Will add bovine inteferon also tonight. She has a good appetite. Rick said she gained a pound. I have printed your suggestions and will give them to him to read. Thank you so much. Any thing else will be greated appreciated. I have only been her human companion a few weeks, but have gotten very close with her. She rubs noses and jowls now. She is so soft and pretty. Thank you again. ___ Felvtalk mailing list Felvtalk@felineleukemia.org http://felineleukemia.org/mailman/listinfo/felvtalk_felineleukemia.org

Re: [Felvtalk] Abbey
The first milk replacer to raise immunity usually given to a calf who doesn't nurse immediatelynot the regular milk replacer. They were puting it in First Born for cats and dogs but seem to have stopped. The bags are maybe a pound or two. I don't have one here to look at. She sounds like a lovely, loving girl. I'm sure she's in a lot less pain from the stomatitis now, and hopefully her mouth will feel better very shortly. Best of luck to both of you. Hi all,I'm taking some time off from rescue due to my husband's illness. He has liver failure and is not a candidate for a transplant. He has been hospitalized 2 times this month and once last month he was placed into a skill nursing facility since the 18th of February after the first trip to the hospital. He is in the end final stage of his disease his liver has stopped working. Can die at any given time. He is being given all the pain meds he wants for comfort so he will most likely fall asleep an never wake up again. I want to make myself available at all times for him. He is only 64 years old... I know to some of you that may sound old but it isn't really. Hospice has been part of this as well to help me cope with all of this. Hospice is available to me 24 hours a day.
