Basil has an excellent chance of throwing off the virus IF he picked it up from your kitten. The problem is that if you only tested him once as a kitten he could have been positive all along. Either way, the fact that he's 4 years old means that he has a good chance of living a long life even

I think the best thing to do is wait and see. Retest with an IFA in 3 months-at least that's my opinion, and I'm certainly not an expert-but that's just what I've picked up from reading the posts here. I would assume that throwing the virus is rare, but who's to say that miracles can't happen!
