Amani, was one of the other medications darbepoetin alfa (Aranesp)? I
just heard about that today when I called my local vet to see if he has
ever used Winstrol. He hasn't used it for ages, but suggested that if
anemia was the only issue, darbepoetin might be a possibility. This

I would be careful about using erythropoeitin or darbepoeitin, both have
been shown to eventually (but not in every case) cause the cat's own immune
system to recognize the drug and destroy it, which would be less of a
problem if that was it, but unfortunately it also starts to recognize the
cats
Ardy, I adopted my FeLV+ boy Brock from Clark County Humane Society in

No Marsha
I haven't heard of darbepoetin alfa. By the way, if you look on line you will
find that there are several sites which deal with chronic renal failure in
cats, and they too recommend Winstrol and indicate it is helpful in that
condition as well. Perhaps the Winstrol might help Peaches
Just because it is new, does not make it effective or safe. Look at all the
Human drugs that now have lawyers saying "did you take this? I can get you
lots of money."
One of the doctors my other worked for would not use a drug until it was on the
market for 10 years because it usually takes
