Re: [Felvtalk] Blood in Stool
Strange how this works, I was just coming to ask about the use of metronidazole in FeLV+ cats. It has been given to me for possible liver issues (in concert with amoxicillin) so I looked it up. From; http://www.vetfolio.com/internal-medicine/feline-cholangiohepatitiscomes "Metronidazole should be considered because of its immunomodulatory properties."which gives me pause with a cat who already has a compromised immune system.Thoughts?Margo and Mako -Original Message- From: SandySent: Aug 12, 2016 3:46 PM To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org Subject: Re: [Felvtalk] Blood in Stool fecal test done to rule out parasites?? - just asking- metronzole (spelling) can't hurtFrom: "ROBERT CHAPEL" To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.orgSent: Friday, August 12, 2016 3:39:45 PMSubject: Re: [Felvtalk] Blood in StoolMy 1 yr old ( Yogi) whose life has been one problem after another is now showing bloody mucus in his stool which is now becoming soft as well Had him to the Vet and he just completed a 10 day round of Flagyl...I'm already spending a fair amount with the Prednisolone Acetate he needs to keep his Uveitis at bay and 300 bucks later ( with an Xray) it does not look at though he has any blockages...
