Thank you all for your responses.   I have a bit of a dilemna as this issued didn't crop up until  he had BEEN on Prednisolone oral and ocular for a couple of months    Didn't go for the 50 dollar fecal test this time because his house mate ( who shares the litter box) is symptom

Bob, in case this might help Yogi… My non-FeLV positive cat Frodo, had terrible, liquid, smelly stools with mucous for a number of years. Started at about 1.5 years of age. Tried metronidazole, all of the dewormers and treated for coccidia too, was sure he must have had IBD or colitis, etc.
